Also see all the gulliables buying off the ebay and like and believing that they got good deal on fakes as real things. Gives us more job to fix theirs in the futures with good stuff.

That is why I have huge crediablity issues with these sellers peddling the caps so I have to source from trusted sources and with out fibbling, dibbling, and fiddling to get all the caps I NEED in one shot at a time. That is reason I really appreciate these good vendors who is promoted here to do the business with us.

I think many of those eBay vendors wouldn't know a fake cap even if you stamped "Fake" on it and stuffed it in their nose.

Elfa got back to me on the Sanyo caps;

Elfa's supplier says the following

"All caps in the WX-series over the diameter 6,3mm have a vent in the top, but what sort of vent is not speced in the usual datasheets.
Our supplier guarantees that it is Sanyo we get from them. Or more correctly the name is now Suncon on all Electroytics henceforth"

Ahh yes suncon. They are a japanese manufacturer associated with sanyo, and they use that vent. Makes sense now

Sanyo "spun-off" SUNCON (SUN Electric) in April 2009-



It seems SUN Electric/SUNCON has been involved in making Sanyo electrolytics for 20+ years. They are shown as a subsidiary of Sanyo, and Sanyo Electric & Consumer Electronics divisions are 1 & 2 in their "Major Clients" list (even though they say there is "no particular order" to the list... hehe). It is an impressive list and their suppliers list is equally impressive-

Who makes them hasn't changed.
Suncon has always made the lytics.
Suncon was a subsidiary of Sanyo and the people that run Suncon bought out Sanyo's shares so now they 'own themselves' free and clear.
