    Panasonic FJ?

Guys, anyone know these Panny FJ caps?
I use and have good experience with Panny FM/FC for general use, yet I was not able to find the FJ caps datasheet specs there:
    http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/...p_leadelec.htm

So, anyone can help me there, or these cap's just don't exist and I remember something wrong?

        Re: Panasonic FJ?

        Isn't it Leadtek?

It makes sense that Panasonic made the FJ series to compete with the NCC KZG, Rubycon MBZ, and others that usually found on motherboards/vga. Before, there are only FC or FK that have lower performance (in ESR and ripple current) and can't compete. We used to see FA on motherboards but that was in p2 era... (IIRC)

About the datasheet of Panasonic FJ, i only found that OST corporation list it as comparable to their own RLX series, wich also competes with the KZG and MBZ. So far i can only trust that. It explain why we can find those FJ on vrm output on todays motherboards, whereas usually we find MBZ or KZG. RLX specs is prestty similar to those, so i can assume that FJ specs is pretty close to those KZG, MBZ, and RLX.

The FJ series is getting old, we should see them listed officially in the panasonic website, that means they will provide the complete datasheet/document about it. If not, then damn them (panasonic)....

this part shows that the 8mm FJ caps have a basic bung style (on the left) and the 10mm+ have the typical advanced bung style we are used to. It is the same for FC also.

here is the FC spec in the same detail also

                    Re: Panasonic FJ?

Thanks, guys. I'm glad that these aren't just a part of my imagination

However their specs aren't match for Panny FM line - the competion with Ruby MBZ lies into another thing. They are small.

                    Panasonic FC 2200uF 16V - ripple current 1945mA (5 000 h) d12,5x25
                    Panasonic FJ 1800uF 16V - ripple current 2800mA (3 000 h) d10x25
                    Panasonic FM 2200uF 16V - ripple current 3190mA (7 000 h) d12,5x25

As you can see, specs aren't great, but it is only these FJ line that does pack these caps tightly - d10 in 1800uF 16V - just like Chemi-con KZG, Ruby MBZ and such... The bigger FM suxxka is still better, so where it fit, there is should be used. Where space matter, well... there does FJ

BTW, FJ line aren't awailable from digi-key, so I quess we don't see them too soon

                      by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

                      Good day,

I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.

I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....

Panasonic part number in service manuals
                      by Yanleb
In the Panasonic service manuals, both in the board schematics and in the part listing, the part numbers that are given are Panasonic part numbers instead of the actual part numbers.

This is especially annoying for small SMD components like diodes and transistors when you only have 1-3 digits printed on the component body.

For an example, look at the attached PDF.

Do you have a way to cross reference the Panasonic part number with the actual part number?

                      Thanks....
