I don`t know your board, but genrally there are either some push pins, wich have a sprring pressing them against the HS and some hooks, which could be bend togehter to remove them. If the hooks are bednded to mtuch the probably lossed their flexibilty. You can try to bend them back..
They only will be pushed into the wholes and the hoocks will prevent that they come loose. This is most common. You can buy those push pins with an zalman northbridge chipset heatsink (ZM-NB32K), for about 3 to 6$. You can look at http://www.zalmanusa.com/ for details and pic`s.The other posibilty are those rubber bolts, they only get pushed through the whole and will remain there. those are availiable as fan silencer from may vendors.

Metod for removing glued heatsink from fragile component
      by harp
I have peltir element glued to heatsink with something thick and sticky like putty... it cant be separate with force or heat without risk of breaking ceramic or damaged semiconductor layers due to force (eg if try twisted, pulled, lifted)... method that I am using is a single thread for needle (thin and firm thread of pure polyester that cant break with bare hands without glowes), and using it like a saw between heatsink and peltir. I holding a heatsink with knee against table. It slowly cut throug putty and release glued parts. It is slow proces, but preserve undamaged component and heatsink....

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
      by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

Seeking Advice on Enhancing Heatsink for Main Processor on SAMSUNG TV Motherboard
      by Ven
      Hello everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade the heatsink on the main processor of my TV's motherboard for better cooling performance.

The current heatsink is a square-shaped one (2.8cm x 2.8cn) with a basic design, and I believe a more efficient heatsink could help with thermal management and potentially extend the life of the TV.

I'd appreciate any advice on the best type of heatsink to use, specific product recommendations, and tips for installation.

If you've done a similar upgrade, I'd love to hear about your experience and any challenges you...

      Synology DS415+ Cr1220 holder problem
      by H1ghl4nd3r
I bought a Synology DS415+ online non working and when I plugged a new power supply in and held the power button for a few seconds the machine began booting up.
After a few minutes later the blue light is still flashing, so I shut it down and opened it up to get to the motherboard as I was going to do the solder fix for the bios clock, but I quickly realised it had already been done (poorly) but even worse was when I realised the bios cr1220 battery and holder was not on the motherboard and wasn’t in the case.

I have attached 6 pictures, picture 1 & 2 is of new motherboard...
