I heard from a friend of mine that his computer is starting to show occasional bad cap symptoms (rebooting at inconvenient times etc). He can't take pictures due to the fact that there's stuff piled up next to his machine
but he can at least see the caps. None of them are bulged or leaking in any way, at least not visibly. They have green plastic sheathing, gold writing and a * vent on the top. Not a K, T, Y or X vent, a 'star' vent. I've never seen a cap like that before, anyone know what it could be?
Can anyone identify this cap?

A cooling improvement measure?... there's stuff piled up next to his machine ...PeteS in CA
Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

by plytekHi all.
I'm trying to fix my Samsung QE50Q60TA TV.
IT's rebooting every few seconds.
I have done some tests and it looks like it stops rebooting when I tape pin 46 (I thinks it's FB_1) on the ribbon tape that connects two boards atteched to screen, but nothing is visible, just backlight is solid and I can hear sound. Taping over other pins doesn't work.
Have also soldered two pins on the motherboard to check if I can get an image on the rights side of the tv, but it keeps rebooting.
Can anyone suggest what I can test and do to get it working again please?... -
by thesameHy guys , i have a DVR board DS-80104 REV 2.2 that was powered wrong, i have some smds on the board that are blown and i can't identify them , maybe if someone has this board somehow and we can identify the smds', i have searched online and i can't find a schematic.
The smds are SOT-23-6 , one of them i think it has the marking ADJF since i found another one on the board with this marking , but the other one it seems that it starts with AG or it looks like. I would really apreciate if someone could help me identify those IC's .

by silver60618Hi gang, its a long shot, but working on Lenovo Legion Pro 7 motherboard NM-F091, and trying to identify this component near GPU with marking "eHFQH" that is burned and shorting the board. Looks like power management IC
I couldnt find any schematic or boardview. The CPU side also has same chip. Any way to identify this chip? or take measurements from the good chip to determine what it is?
Any help would be appreciated... -
by unimatrix93Hello everyone, I'm working on a Samsung TV that constantly rebooting.
MB/PSU unit: BN9654185QE
It loads up to the main menu then as soon as the backlight goes brighter it reboots.
First I suspected the LCD panel, so a disconnected the LCD display from the mainboard but did the same thing.
Then I removed the backlight connector which only delayed the bootloop by a minute maybe, I know it because I test it with the remote, it does gives the menu sounds a bit longer.
Also I have to note, that the MB/PSU combo gives out a very noticible... - Loading...
