    HP Laptop 17-cp0290nf

    Hi all,

I'm a little annoyed with this pc that won't recover.

HP recovery starts well but it seems that bios recovery goes too quickly, Pc reboot, recovery process messages appear but after the last pc reboots the pc turns on but no screen display, even after 20 minutes.

The DMI offsets are 413000 to 41403F .The windows key offsets are 435000 to 43503F .I always add extra to the end offset for the widows key as there is one character on the last row with the rest FF`s. Its easier to remember when the length is 40

Copy the DMI (serial, feature Byte, win key) from your backup to the virgin bios using a hex editor.Select the same offsets (select block in HxD) in both bios, copy from the old, paste to the new.

      Offsets: 413000 - 41403F and 435000 - 43503F

Chromebook recovery failed - how to fix it
            by volinakis
So I had a Asus C433T Chromebook enrolled and after I modified bios I had to reinstall Chromium. I made a USB recovery stick with Chromebook Recovery Utility but I got "an unexpected error has occurred ..." message. I did try with another USB stick, etc. etc. -all steps found on internet about this issue and nothing worked.
Finally I found a site where they suggested to try with an older image and ... it worked!
            What I did:
            - when “Chrome OS is missing or damaged” message appeared I pressed Tab key and found: read only firmware id: Google_Rammus. xxxxx.xxx.x....

            820-00850 & 820-01949, No WiFi *In Recovery*
            by ugamazing
I've got two boards with the exact same issue, and it's confusing the hell out of me. In short:

            1. Both boards behave *exactly* the same; they will show WiFi networks to connect to, and will boot fully to Internet Recovery, but they each show zero available WiFi networks once booted to Internet Recovery. I also cannot switch WiFi "off", as in, the toggle will not move.

            2. Both boards will erase perfectly fine using the "erase mac" function; I can wipe them with disk utility, but if I try to install MacOS from Internet Recovery, it says to connect...

Macbook air m1 can't access the recovery options by pressing and holding the power button
            by conghuyms
I have an M1 MacBook Air (A2337) 2020 that came in for water damage and will not turn on. Upon opening it, I saw that the audio board was severely corroded. I disconnected it, and the device started working.

After that, I dealt with the issues on the audio board by removing the capacitors that were shorted to ground, and the device started working. However, I encountered another problem: I can't access the recovery options by pressing and holding the power button. I'm not sure if it's a hardware issue or if the recovery partition has been lost. Currently, the system's time isn't updating,...
