    HP Laptop 17-cp0290nf

    Hi all,

I'm a little annoyed with this pc that won't recover.

HP recovery starts well but it seems that bios recovery goes too quickly, Pc reboot, recovery process messages appear but after the last pc reboots the pc turns on but no screen display, even after 20 minutes.

The DMI offsets are 413000 to 41403F .The windows key offsets are 435000 to 43503F .I always add extra to the end offset for the widows key as there is one character on the last row with the rest FF`s. Its easier to remember when the length is 40

Use the Guides to find and extract a virgin bios

[Guide] How to find the right HP bios version to flash https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...flash?t=122195
[Guide] How to extract ready for programming dump from HP update executable file https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=121948

Copy the DMI (serial, feature Byte, win key) from your backup to the virgin bios using a hex editor.Select the same offsets (select block in HxD) in both bios, copy from the old, paste to the new.

      Offsets: 413000 - 41403F and 435000 - 43503F
