Nevir 39" LCD acting up. Broken panel?

Hi! I got this TV that was supposed to "not work well".

I turned it on and the BL got lit but nothing was showing on screen

Opened it and found that the only PS voltages present (12v and backlight) were 100% perfect

Plugged it back in and the screen kind of started up showing a NEVIR logo but it was split into several chunks with also missing lines in between. Nothing else

Next time the screen showed an amorphous large color cloud in the screen swinging from side to side (maybe a screensaver picture) with all broken lines everywhere.

I unplugged the LVDS cable from MAIN to panel and the image slowly faded away to black. I tried unplugging the flex that links both sides of the LCD panel boards and the image only happened on the right side, with only dim shades of the same in the left side.

At this time I want to be able to tell if this is a bad panel (the panel is 100% intact, at least physically), or the main board. Well, this is a single board TV set...

Also I tried gently pushing the edges of the screen, the flex cables from the LCD board to the LCD, and pushing also all the components on the LCD board and nothing changed at all

    Any direction will be appreciated
    Thanks!

Just to add to this, the TV set responds to all either panel buttons (on-off, volume, channel) as well as remote commands. I mean I can't see anythng chnaging on screen as this sliding cloud is all I see, but the stb_by led flashes everytime I touch any button and I can turn it off/on with both panel and remote, so everything inside seems to be "alive"

There should be a fuse in this area (check it) DC 12V should be suitable for it.

Ok I will check that, and will that fuse cause such an effect on the screen?
        Thanks

If the fuse is blown or there is no 12v power to the T-con, then the matrix will not work and there will be no image.
I misunderstood, you had something on the screen, so the problem is either on the bars (T-con) or in the panel itself.

Understood, I will check that fuse anyway.
Is there any easy way to determine if the issue is on the bars or panel?

            Thanks

Well, if you disconnected the left side (loop) and the right side showed the image well, then the defect is on the left side, well then disconnect the loop and check all ceramic, blocking capacitors for low resistance or short circuit.

No no, I disconnected the left side (the one that's bridged to the right side) and left side went blank with just some remainig shades, and right side was still showing the weird cloud moving side to side, check the videos I uploaded, one is with bridge to second bar and other is without bridge

Yes, the defect is more like a problem in the panel itself, you can also check the voltages at the test points on the panel bar (T-con).

Hi again, I couldn't find time for this yet, but I was thinking, either if the fault is in the TCon boards (are those panel bars called T-con on these TV's too?) or if its the panel, its not easily fixable right? This is just a basic 32" set.

                        Thanks!

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Hello, my Aunt recently gave me her broken Sony XBR-65A8G OLED after getting a replacement. It had a 4x led flash error, a replacement T-con didn't fix the error but with helpful info from this forum I found one of the smd ceramic caps on the panel pcb (C575/C378) on a 24v line was shorted to ground. I removed that cap and the tv turned on without error. It still had a black screen with the original t-con back in it, once I put the replacement t-con in it finally had a picture. After doing a panel refresh it had a very good picture but with a few vertical lines for some scenes. For owners with...

                          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                          Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

So I couldn't remember my bios password and since it was broken screen, I used to connected to the TV via Type C to HDMI. So I decided to remove the Bios chip and reprogram the Bios chip with ch314a.. when I try to solder Bios on the laptop, one of the Bios leg broke off.. I bought a new blank Bios chip so I can programmed by flashing on the bios.
