I'm having a similar problem with my Vizio 775-J04 tv also. I tried replacing the power board It didn't help. Mine has sound and flashlight video Backlights never flash when powering on or off. Started going dark in the left lower quadrant and two days later the entire screen went dark. Can I test the black lights without removing the lcd?

Tcptech can u disconnect the BL's from the driver board and then plug in the TV, and check for voltage between the BL + pins and ground. Mine is showing zero volts and I'm interested in knowing if urs is also zero.

65" Model of this TV exactly the same problem. 0 volts with BL's disconnected. Power supply is fine. As dskall mentioned if you haven't progressed from this last message, it's faulty backlights.
