Hello all!
New member here!
I'm trying to see if this can be an easy fix, so far i found the service manual and followed the troubleshooting path a bit.
When I power on the TV, i see "SONY" quickly flash but then it goes back to black. The power light flashes white a few seconds and then red for 6 blinks.
The troubleshooting path had me check the BL_ERR signal and I have 3V so well above the written 1.9v threshold.
Then I verified the Out1 and Out2 voltage and that's where i'm stuck.
When I power on the TV, the voltage jumps to 280V only for a second and then drops to 130v. Then once the red blinking starts, it slowly drops back towards zero. Both Out1 and Out2 do the same.
At this point, I'm thinking it's likely the GL1SB causing the problem by not being able to sustain the voltage high enough. But I'm not clever enough to trace and figure out what component needs to be replaced.
I did probe a few capacitors but nothing obvious came out.
Aside from a few expensive ebay boards, it seems like this board is no longer in stock so i'd really like to repair it as this TV was working quite well just a few days ago!
Thanks for reading and fingers crossed someone has seen this before!
