    LG 43UK6200PLA - yellowish picture

Hi everyone. I have LG 43UK6200PLA which stopped showing picture a while ago. The main board is model EAX67872805. It has sound and backlight. I tested the two ribbon cables on the tcon board and concluded that one of them is faulty. I taped pins 1-12 and now the picture is there and there are no glitchy lines. The problem is it switches from normal color to yellowish color repeatedly. In the attached photos the first one is normal color and the second one is changed color. Any suggestion is welcome.

    Thank you all.

I did that and it looks like pin 9 is the general problem. When I block only pin 9 the colors are fine but there are pruple vertical lines when screen is black and normal lines when there is picture. Also there is one black line that doesnt change.

If cable is faulty, you need to replace it

My bad, I worded that a bit badly. I meant that when I connect one cable only I get half screen normal white and when I connect only second cable it doesn't work correctly. The cables themself are ok.

maybe play with it, like block 1-9, 2-9, 3-9 etc.

Re: LG 43UK6200PLA - yellowish picture

After blocking pins 9 and 11 I get a normal picture without lines, but there is slight flickering. Also I noticed if I block pin 12 (along side 9 and 11) the colors change between normal and yellowish like at the beginning. Other pins don't seem to have any effect on colors or flickering. I have no idea what to do now.

I wonder if the flickering might be a separate backlight issue?

did it flicker when you did the half screen test?

something to try, go into settings and turn off all energy saving settings/modes.

also for testing have nothing plugged into it like hdmi cables etc. see if it still flickers, some lgs have picture test, something like settings-support-screen diagnose.

When I did the half screen test it did flicker on the faulty side. Energy saving was on and when I switched it off it only brightened the screen a bit and nothing else. It was tested without any cables just power.

                            I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESGYMioW4yQ
Does anyone have any idea what is he doing? I watched it a few times but don't understand what does he check when probing left and right side at the same time. Also what should the voltages be at those resistors?

A very slight flickering it's normal in these faults with tape method, you must accept it, the screen is not fully repairable, maybe the best method is drilling method but i haven't fully tested until now.

maybe turn the backlights and or brightness down to try to get rid of the flicker, maybe even turn those up a little to see if it lessens but down would be better if it would work.

What is the drilling method? I am probably going to leave it as is for now. It is watchable and if you don't look for flickering it's not that noticeable.

This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                                          Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

I'm not sure what to do next and came here since y'all helped me fix a 50" plasma TV back in 2014, which is still working!

A friend gave me an Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 50" TV that suddenly developed large vertical lines on it. He said he had no idea what might have caused it and has replaced it with a larger TV. He was going to throw it away.

I did not notice any bulged or leaking caps on any board, the voltages produced by the power supply match the voltage that the pins are marked. The backlight leds are working. I have tried cleaning the ribbon cables...

I've been seeing a lot of the new TVs (samsung and LG only i think) maybe 1-2 years old suffering from sudden panel death and have been over 50% successful bringing them at least most of the way back to functionality if not all the way, with the tape masking of the LVDS pins method.
add this one to the list. the issue was on the left side of the panel and i ended up blocking just 3 pins on the connector that joins the two panel boards that make up the left side of the panel (it has 4 boards total) i didnt get the picture back to 100% perfect. i spent hours fiddling with which pins to block...

I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                                          Then each time...
