SAMSUNG TV PS51E550D 1W,
Symptoms: the panel is on but no picture, fuzzy color vertical lines at the black background at both sides of the panel. Very similar to this:
Disconnecting left side of the panel fixed the right side which went on and displayed picture although with vertical black bars coming from the middle X-BUFFER panel at the bottom of TV and the same 1 fuzzy color vertical line ~ 0.11 inches long and a few 1 pixel black bars. The disconnected left side showed fuzzy colorful bars, may be some glimpses of the the correct image from menu at the right side of the screen.
Taping pins at the left side ribbon only led to the black background with the same fuzzy vertical color bars and black bars. About 20% of the left panel is covered in them. T-CON seems normal.
Going to X-Buffer panels (left middle right) revealed strange SMD BDXXXX marked elements which looked like diodes with cathode markup lifting some of them revealed that they are all shorted out both ways. About 90% of them on the x-buffer boards are shorted.
I'm confused, is it normal, is it a diode? Can it be that all of them are shorted even at the X-Buffer side that shows picture? How to check them? They show 0 resistance both ways when lifted - all of them like coils yet they marked as BD and have cathode marked.

What am I missing here? Are they all just shorted on all x-buffers? What purpose on X-Buffer boards do they serve? How is it possible that all of them are shorted and yet right side of the panel seems function almost normally?
