    Panasonic TC-P50S1 shorted TXNSC1EDUU (TNPA4782AB) SC Board

Hi every one. I just want to share the successful repair of my shorted Panasonic TNPA4782AB SC board.

I don't usually do it but so many parts were shorted that I decided to buy the ShopJimmy repair kit instead of sourcing each components individually. Here is the list of components the kit contained, with a remark indicating if I needed that part or not :

    D608, good
    D618 RF101L4S, good (See warning 1 below)
    D619 RF101L4S, good (See warning 1 below)
    D865 RF101L4S, shorted (See warning 1 below)

    IC464 Inverter HA MC74HC1G14, shorted
    IC465 Inverter HA MC74HC1G14, shorted
IC501 M81707FP, replaced by safe mesure
IC521 M81707FP, replaced by safe mesure
IC561 TC74VHCT541AFT, replaced by safe mesure
IC562 TC74VHCT541AFT, replaced by safe mesure
    IC724 SOT-89 5 volt regulator, good
    IC725 SOT-89 5 volt regulator, good
    IC771 SOT-89 5 volt regulator, good
    IC773 Inverter HA MC74HC1G14, shorted

PC461 PS9817A-2 dual optocoupler replaced in kit by PC4D10SNIP0F, failed
    PC601 PS2701A-1 optocoupler, good

    Q401 2PG011, shorted
    Q402 2PG011, shorted
    Q403 2PG011, shorted
    Q421 30G123, shorted
    Q422 30G123, shorted
    Q423 30G123, shorted
    Q441 45G127, shorted
    Q451 45G127, good
    Q501 CPH5524, good
    Q502 CPH5524, good
    Q521 CPH5524, good
    Q522 CPH5524, good
    Q531 CPH5524, good
    Q551 CPH5524, shorted
    Q601 RJK6026, good (See warning 2 below)
    Q604, good
    Q660 RJK6026, good (See warning 2 below)
    Q661 RJP6065, shorted
    Q762 CPH5524, good

    R506 10 ohm resistor, good
    R507 10 ohm resistor, good
R521 100 ohm resistor, good (See warning 3 below)
R522 100 ohm resistor, open (See warning 3 below)
    R551 10 ohm resistor, open
    R606 10k ohm, good

Additional parts replaced that were not included in the kit:
    Q701 MMBTA92 (7EW, 300V 100mA, PNP), shorted
    Q702 2PD601ART, shorted, replaced by MMBT3904

Warnings: The ShopJimmy kit contained some wrong parts:
    1. The bag for D618, D619 and D865 contained RF101L2S diodes (marked 66 and rated at only 200v) instead of RF101L4S diodes (marked 88 and rated at 400v).
    2. The bag for Q601 and Q660 contained one RJK6026 and one RJP6026, instead of two RJK6026. Anyway, I didn't need those parts.
    3. The bag for R521 and R522 contained two 0.47 ohm resistors instead of 100 ohm resistors. I spotted the error and sourced the good value.

I thought that they substituted the diodes in Warning 1 for good ones but I was wrong. After the repair the board shorted again on power-on because of those bad diodes in the kit. Those parts needed to be replaced a second time:
    D865
    IC773
    Q403
    Q422
    Q661
    Q701
    Q702

After the second repair the TV set powered up correctly. But it has been an extensive repair. 23 components total have been replaced.

I hope this will help someone.

    HP Victus 15-FA1025NL , board DAG3PAMB8D0 REV:D, shorted CPU DrMOS and n-mos
    by modtool
    Hi to all,
the owner of this machine gave it to me after having opened it to take off the dust from the inside, telling me that after that it didn't start anymore.
I found that one of the DrMOS (AOZ5016QI) on the CPUCORE was shorted between VIN and VSWH, and that one of the two n-mos connected to the power jack was shorted aswell.
I unsoldered the two shorted components and verified that there were no other short circuits, then decided to power the mainboard, firstly with the lab power supply, then with its original HP 200w charger, but the behaviour is the same, the board starts...

Apple 820-3662 VCore shorted to ground.
    by barry101
    Hi, Would appreciate some help.
I have an Apple Late 2013 15" A1398 MacBook Pro with Logic Board 820-3662.
Get charger light but no fan spin or chime. No liquid damage.
Found PPBUS and VCORE both shorted to ground. Other rails were ok.
Removed VCORE MOSFETS U7310, U7320 and U7330. Found U7330 was in fact shorted.
With the 3 MOSFETS removed, get PPBUS and fan spin. VCORE is still hard shorted to ground (0 ohms).
Attempted voltage insertion on VCORE to locate short using bench supply set at 1.0 VDC and 4.95 Amps (max current for my...

Dell Latitude 5501 LA-H181P shorted power rail
    by guizmo1967
    Hello,

    This is my problem:

    Laptop: Dell Latitude 5501
    Motherboard: EDC51 LA-H181P

I have two power rails shorted to ground, +1.0V_PRIM and +3.3V_ALW_PCH. I removed solder on PJP302, +1.05VALWP (pad1) not shorted but +1.0V_PRIM (pad2) shorted.

    I also cleaned PJP38, pad1 not shorted, pad2 (+3.3V_ALW_PCH) shorted to ground.

I measure the resistance of all the coils on the motherboard and they all were not shorted to ground except coil PL301 before I removed the solder on PJP302.

    I injected +1.05V - 2A...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
    by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
