Sony Bravia KD43XF7596BAEP - Android no picture

Greetings everyone.
I also have Sony Bravia, model:
Sony Bravia KD43XF7596BAEP - Android.

What happend is that image dissapeared while we were watching tv.

Diagnostics:
1. TV turns on, no errors
2. Backlight turs on, no errors
3. Power indicator turns on, white color, no errors
4. Menu works on android, you can hear sound while switching channels
5. Volume up and down works via TV remote and via buttons
6. Tunner works, HEVC / MPEG-4 decoder works
7. I get audio from channels
8. No picture is present, but backlight is turned on, not even SONY logo is shown.

What do you guys think happened ? how can i repair it ?
Do you think it's ribbon cable causing this issue ?

Sure, i can check the voltage, just let me know where do i check it.
T connector ? adapter voltage ?

19.82V on adapter output.

There should be a fuse on the t-con, it's under the metal shield in the middle of photo #2.

I found the Fuse, it is F1.

Fuse is rated for 60Volts, 7A.
Fuse is OK

Fuse to ground gets me 12.4 Volts (average), exact=12.51V

F1 should messured from both side to chassis 12V. if this was fine.. then disconnect one ribbon cable between the T-CON and panel at time.. see if you have half picture or the other half white color..

I suspect tcon, they usually don't cost too much on ebay.

Yes
Half White display if i DC one of the ribbon cables.
Both sides are exact 12.51 Volts of the fuse.

Can someone link tcon on ebay ?

your issue not at T-CON, its on MB. i wrote before 4-5 years Sony how they kill TVs if they are connected to Netswork ( Internet ) yours was with internet..
try first hard reset. joistic push it and pull it down.. while you plug it in wall.... dont remove untill you have the front LED chaged to green... give time for it it could reboot 2 time

ok, more testing can only help, do diahs testing, if no joy can test the tcon too.

I just did a HR, green power LED, i reseted twice.

Still no picture, but the introduction to android music is playing.
So the OS is booting normally and working.

I again have only backlight and black screen with audio from android introduction.

It 's not entirely clear - have you tried disconnecting both flat white cables alternately ? Was the image on the screen the same in both cases ?

I disconnected one ribbon cable and i got white black screen.
I can also try other ribbon.

strange... if the T-CON fault it should not showing half picture white.. such fault need know how & equipment to follow video signal.. this you cant do so only yours option change boards... then go and do invest with T-con as nomoresonys suggested since they are cheap..

Looking at the motherboard, left is left right is right.

LEFT RIBBON CABLE REMOVED:
WHITE BLACK screen ( see attachment)

RIGHT RIBBON CABLE REMOVED:
Black screen

When i changed both ribons left to right and right to left i don't get White screen anymore.

Now it's doesn't matter what combination i use, it's always black screen with backlight working.

I connected both and restarted tv, now i get white picture.

Everything is working with music playing.

I connected both ribbons again, this time in correct order like they were originally installed, left left, right right.

Now i get black screen with sound as in the start.

Could it be one of the ribbons ? maybe due to heat it melted somewhere ??

i've tested again.
Final result:

1. Left Ribbon cable removed, while right is connected:
LEFT HALF OF SCREEN BLACK / RIGHT HALF OF SCREEN WHITE (PICTURE ABOVE)

2. Right ribon cable removed, while left is connected
BOTH HALFS ARE BLACK.

sounds similar to the nightmare I had/have with the sony xbr900, had the music but no video plus no backlight in my case, read many more different forums, most could not solve it, some solved with new mainboard but a lot of people replaced every board and still didn't solve it, it's a mystery to me, could there be something wrong with or inside the panels or are people just buying bad mainboards, with all these very similar problems, I really think it's going to be one certain thing that's wrong but I CANNOT figure it out.
