LG 55LA970W - No sound or picture.

As above, turns on, speaker drops out of bottom of unit, no sound or picture. If I force power supply on all voltages correct and backlights come on ok. Any troubleshooting tips for boards? TIA

That test usually means the powerboard and backlights are ok. Try shining a flashlight on the screen hit menu see if you see any text or image if not check the voltage on each side of tcon fuse, negative probe to chassis ground positive probe on each end.

Could try unhooking the bluetooth module and camera etc., you tried with both remote and tv buttons right? that's if this model has buttons.

Are you getting power to your t-con board?

No image with flashlight test, No difference with Bluetooth module and/or camera disconnected, Both buttons and remote do the same thing and no power to t-con board. I’m thinking mainboard issue ??

Did you check tcon fuse, you mean no power getting from mainboard to tcon?

Yes, no power to t-con and fuse is good

I would say it is mainboard problem.

Replacement mainboard ordered, will update once fitted.

Mainboard arrived and it’s a slightly different board. 55LA965W board. Tv powers on but no control so I know it’s a mainboard issue. Looking for a mainboard if anyone has one. EBT62700302
