    Soniq S55V14B-AU Stuck in Standby

Hi, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction....

I have a S55V14B TV and it suffered a board failure. Main board part number: 222-655036003-30. I couldn't find a board with the exact part number so I've used what looks to be the same board however the part number is slightly different. 222-655036002-30.

After installing the main board the stanby light came back on, however it wont turn on. I spoke to Soniq Australia and managed to get a copy of the firmware but no service manual. They don't have one. I asked about the different part numbers but they didn't seen to know what the differences were.
To install the firmware; Fat32 drive, files on root, hold CH+ and press power on TV itself, Should turn on and start installing. Still nothing. (Drive is 32GB USB3. Might try an older smaller one.)
I've measured the voltages coming from the power supply and everything looks okay.

Main board connector coming from power supply.

    Label Voltage Actual

    PWR_ON ? 4.08v
    V_5VS 5v 5.23v
    V_5V 5v 5.36v
    V_5V 5v 5.36v
    NC
    NC
    GND
    GND
    GND
    AMP_VCC ? 11.92v
    AMP_VCC ? 11.92v
With the connector unplugged all voltages disappear except the 5v coming from the powers supply. Power supply connector has 2 extra wires. BL_ON 0v and VADJ 140mv.

One strange thing is the heatsink on the main board gets warm even though the TV is turned off. Not cooking hot. Just warm. If the TV were on but just not the backlight would the standby light stay red?

I'm not sure where to look next. Any ideas?

Re: Soniq S55V14B-AU Stuck in Standby

Personally speaking I would never try a usb3 memory stick in a TV that I guess isn't designed to take a usb3 memory stick especially to try and flash the memory in the TV. Get a smaller usb2 stick anywhere between a 1gb to 4gb.
The speed matters and getting a super fast memory stick can prevent the data being transferred across to the main board, it will not recognise the information and will do nothing!
So that is where I would start. As I have experienced this previously on different TV models. I have a 128mb (yes Megabyte not GB) usb mp3 player that I use specifically to load the firmware onto a Samsung nand for a TV. It's the only one I have found that is slow enough for the TV to recognise it and load successfully!

          Soniq E40S12A-AU Stuck In Standby
          by Eggbert43
          Hello everybody,

My Soniq E40S12A-AU (Australia) won't stay on when coming out of standby.

Upon the power button being pushed to come out of standby, the red standby light starts flashing, then the Cinavision splash screen appears for a brief second before screen going black, & within another ten seconds the TV goes back into standby; with a solid red light.

I have tried flashing the original & new firmware but upon completion I get the same behaviour as above, with the addition of an audio chime I assume to be notifying me of a successful firmware...

The TV is faulty with stuck in Standby RED LED. Can't power the TV.

Before this problem , the TV stuck the picture with artefact , i unplug the AC cable and since the tv is stuck in standby .

All voltage are OK on PSU and main board for regulator. I tried flash firmware 25Q64 with many dumps

But the voltage on power button is 0.6V not 3.3V. When i press power button the voltage up to 0V. I tried to add 5V with Power Supply on 5V_STB and 3.3V on Power...

          Soniq S55V16A-AU stuck in standby

I've got a 55" Soniq LED TV which is stuck in standby mode (initiator LED on, but no picture/sound/backlight). It will intermittently start working again for a few days or weeks, but it has been months since the last time it turned on. I've seen a lot of similar issues with Soniq TVs that were fixed by updating the firmware, but I need to turn it on to update the firmware so no luck there.

I've taken the back off and visually inspected it but everything looks fine. No exploded capacitors or signs of overheating etc. All of the 1117 regulators on the main board were outputting...

I enclose the psu diagram, after the first routine checks I find myself with a regular standby voltage of 3.3v blue light on steady when the power button is pressed nothing happens, psu disassembled and bench checked ... forced ignition by sending a signal 3 , 3v on the SW and PWM2 pins the psu turns on and delivers all the voltages...

LG 32LB1R - stuck in standby mode
          by lego1234567
Hi. I have the following problem with my TV. After connecting to mains, the standby led (red) turns on, but TV is not responding to remote control or buttons on TV. After some measurements, I found out that +5 V standby voltage is present, but I dont have ON/OFF signal coming in to turn PSU on. It stays at zero volts. After looking at the schematic of the mainboard, I should get ON/OFF signal coming in at the R1402 resistor, but it stays around +3,5 V. So I removed it and I was able to turn on TV with buttons on TV, but not with remote control.

What could be the problem ? Thanks...
