TV SEIKI se32hd07uk Backlight Recycle

Hi,

I've recycled this tv to use its backlight but it is turning off for a few seconds every 10 minutes. Anyone know how I can prevent this. Tried forcing 3.5v onto BL_ON but the unit still goes off.

Connect a signal to it and see if it stays on longer, some TV's will shut down if there is no signal.

Backlights issues are almost always the backlights themselves. Turn down the backlight level and see if it stays on longer. These Chinese white label TVs may not have a backlight setting and it could be in the service menu. There may be an Energy Savings picture mode which runs at reduced backlight level.

Connecting a signal to hdmi port fixed it.

Now just need to simulate a hdmi cable plugged in.
