Re: ZD-915 Mysterious Fault
If the unit powers on ok with the soldering gun removed does that mean the problem is most likely on the display board side?

Re: ZD-915 Mysterious Fault
Just checked diodes in circuit and D8 looks suspect. So will remove and check.

ZD-915 Mysterious Fault
Hi Guys,
Hopefully someone can help me as I have swapped the psu caps , the switching IC, the soldering gun heating element, the M7 diodes on the psu and the display board. checked all caps and diodes for shorts and still I'm getting the U3 error with constant reboot. The unit stays on without the gun connected.
A strange symptom is that when turned off the unit flicks on the display and fan only for an instant every 10 seconds or so.
There is a ticking sound coming from the PSU when turned on with and without the gun attached. Can't remember if this...

Re: TV SEIKI se32hd07uk Backlight Recycle
Connecting a signal to hdmi port fixed it.
Now just need to simulate a hdmi cable plugged in.

TV SEIKI se32hd07uk Backlight Recycle
Hi,
I've recycled this tv to use its backlight but it is turning off for a few seconds every 10 minutes. Anyone know how I can prevent this. Tried forcing 3.5v onto BL_ON but the unit still goes off....

SEIKI SE32HD08UK TV TP.S506.PB753 Standby Issue
Hi,
I'm recycling a TV to use the backlight LED's but the TV turns off after about 10 minutes
I've removed the display layer as this was broken hence the recycle and the speakers etc.
I'd also like the TV to immediately turn on once plugged in
Any ideas?
thanks in advance...

Re: Vestel 17IPS72 Turn off issue
I'll give it a try and feedback.
I would like the fan connected though especially during hot summers if we ever get them in the UK

Re: Vestel 17IPS72 Turn off issue
Could do its just that I had a 12v fan to load the 12v rail and the 7805 can load the 24v rail. Its still within 7805 spec but if I get a 24v fan then I'll swap it round

Re: Vestel 17IPS72 Turn off issue Solved
Think I've cracked it.
I put a fan on the 12V and the 7805 on the 24v and it is staying on now.
Probably needs load on both the 12v and 24v lines.
In process of converting the loft and is perfect lighting
Thanks for the help...

Re: Vestel 17IPS72 Turn off issue
Hi, apologies for delay. Here are photos. Excuse the mess. The screen was damaged so I just want to use the backlight. Have used a 7805 to supply 5v signal to keep on but it turns off after a while....

Vestel 17IPS72 Turn off issue
Hi,
I have a TV which goes into stand by after about 5- 10 minutes. The PSU seems very hot especially around Capacitors, Diodes on isolated side and MOSFET MDD14N25 is also getting extremely hot. The diodes checkout ok.
What is most likely cause of overheat?? and where to start checking/replacing first.
Thanks in advance
