Hitachi UZ657200 Backlight/Power Supply Issue

Hi All

I have a Hitachi UZ657200 LED TV with a backlight issue. A few minutes after powering on the screen goes black. I can see the image if I shine a light on the screen and the sound works fine. If I unplug the power for 5 minutes and then connect it again it works fine for a little while before the same thing happens. The longer I leave it unplugged the longer it will last before it happens again. The power supply PCB has an electrical hum in the highlighted area on the attached image. When the backlight fails it turners to more of a quiet crackling noise. I replaced the bridge rectifier in this area but the TV behaves exactly the same.

It's more likely to be a failing LED, turn down the backlight and see if the TV stays on longer.

Hi diif

I plugged it back in after being disconnected for 3 hours, turned the brightness to 0 and it only lasted about 2 min. This was below average for a cold start.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen Backlight Issue

Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.

TCL 43S431 Backlight issue or Power Supply

I was wondering if anyone else has come across this problem. What was the problem?, and was it solved. I recently picked up 2 of these tvs and both initially diagnosed as bad backlights. When turned on, the backlights flash the red logo screen. Sound and an image is clear using a flashlight. So I buy 2 sets of leds. When they arrive I take one tv apart and test the leds before removing them. OMG they all work. but I put the new ones in anyway. So I think its the power supply. I swap PS from one to the other and same results. Now here is the issue and really confused me. I reset the tv using...

I started a new one, hope that's ok, because my question is different now! (Strangely enough, after I walked away for a few weeks, it stopped lighting up at all!!)
I am determined to fix this power supply because I have the skills to replace bad components, I just need to find out...

Samsug washing machine. Power supply DC41-00189a board issue

I am trying to fix a samsung washinmachine power supply main board.
I already replaced it with another one to fix the machine but i want to try understand the issue with the old board.
Therefore i hope to be able to get some help to explain what to check in order to troubleshoot.
