Updated the firmware on the 24C512 with your file and it's still not working. I'll try the 25Q80 file at some point, but I'm going to shelf this project for now. I started restoring a Pioneer SX-1010 recently and I want to spend time on that. Thanks again for your help. I'll revisit this post when I pick this project back up.

Not yet, I haven't had time yet, I'll try to look tomorrow.
For now, try these two dumps for 25q80 and 24c512 for diagnostics.

    Status register for 25Q80 (0x98.0x02).

Thanks anyway. It was a good learning exercise and I appreciate all your help. Guess this one is destined for the landfill.

Oh, I don’t even know, I don’t have the firmware for your panel (T-CON 25Q80) to compare. The problem may be in the eMMC, or perhaps in the processor itself...

lotas - any thoughts on this? Anything else to look at before I scrap it?

Reflowed the crystals and processor . . . no change. Maybe one of the boost or buck converters? They appear to be proprietary Samsung ICs so not much else to do at this point, I think. I suppose I could try reflowing those - especially IC401 / VLS1R0A. Voltages are wrong around that one . . . maybe I have a board with that IC on it. to try swapping it out.

I'll check the panel number when I get back to the house tomorrow. I'll try reflowing the crystals first and if that doesn't help, I'll try the main processor . . .

This chassis also had problems with the crystal falling off the substrate, remove the radiator and blow on the crystal with a soldering station for 30 seconds at a temperature of 200-250C.

It is necessary with a jumper to see the remaining voltages.

    TCL 55RP620K power board issue
    by notallbad
Originally the tv arrived with dimmed backlights (not failed leds) but everything else worked ok. Adjusting backlight in menu did nothing but voltage changed on dimming control pins,
    0% p_dim at 1.65v and a_dim at 1v
    50% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 1.65v
    100% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 2.88v

Changed backlight leds anyway as always like to have complete peace of mind they wont fail shortly after selling the tv. No change as expected!

Leds are 2 rows of 15 6v leds.

On inspection of the power board found diode MBR3200 shorted so replaced with...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Sony Bravia KDL-70W850B T-CON board / software update issue
    by eclectric
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue before I give up on this TV.

In short, I replaced the T-CON board due to an error code indicating that was the problem, after which it flashed a green and orange LED meaning software update required. I cannot get the tv to do the required update via USB, so I am stuck.

Here is a rundown of the symptoms and the steps I have taken to troubleshoot:

I inherited the TV with the symptom that it would turn on, then turn off after 5-10 seconds and a red LED flashed 4 or 5 times. Sometimes it would be 4, sometimes...

Nikon D5 – dead, power board issue ?
    by corrize
Hello, the DSLR has heavyly fallen. It is dead : no sign of life and display nothing.

When it worked, it always displayed a card present state on LCD display, even when the battery is empty it display a empty battery symbol.
I found a dead fuse, I replaced it and a mosfet burnt, I changed it and another fuse burned. Nothing burned after. And I can't find any short circuit anywhere, it's weird.

Now, I try to understand how it works.

There is two boards (the little one on pictures has no component) : the first is a « power board » : managing...
