Now you can read the Dump after installing it on the board, and post it here again, I'll take a look at the contents.

I erase two ic's and write each of them with those two versions received, set SR as you recommend you, tested one by one but no stand-by led active...

Write down any dump (you need to look with which one it will start, it can start with any) after recording, set S.R. 0x88, 0x42 and hit "write".

And it is not clear why you are erasing two microcircuits, what else have you erased? There is one chip 25Q40.

Ok, I'll try, you are familiar with the status of the register, what needs to be set, without it the firmware will fly off again when you turn it on for the first time.

However I did get it to work after loading the original eeprom dump from the 55" donor board i used.

I have attached the dump from that eeprom to help anyone else that might need it.

Thanks again for all the help Lotas. Appreciate your time and expertise.

Last question, I have a Sony tv with a bad emmc. Will this RT809F programmer work for this? If not any recommendations.
What programmer did you use? Did you make the modifications that iotas mentioned or it worked straight away?

Thanks for the info. Not sure where to go from this point. I’m pretty sure it’s software related issue though.

Don’t have the motherboard in front of me.

    But the model is HW-Q90R.

I have repaired it few different models of theses with bad power supplies. They all seem to have the same internals. ( power supply, motherboard, speaker output boards.

It seems the software is the main difference.

    Re: Un50mu6070 Mainboard issue

    Long story short.

It would power on. But only stay on “BT” Bluetooth. I could not switch input or change volume. I tried unplugging the remote/ ir board and the buttons on the top of the unit separately with no success.

I could not get it to update through usb either.

So after all that I’m assuming it’s the eeprom or another ic related issue possibly.

I was starting with the eeprom since I have the programmer now

    TCL 55RP620K power board issue
    by notallbad
Originally the tv arrived with dimmed backlights (not failed leds) but everything else worked ok. Adjusting backlight in menu did nothing but voltage changed on dimming control pins,
    0% p_dim at 1.65v and a_dim at 1v
    50% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 1.65v
    100% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 2.88v

Changed backlight leds anyway as always like to have complete peace of mind they wont fail shortly after selling the tv. No change as expected!

Leds are 2 rows of 15 6v leds.

On inspection of the power board found diode MBR3200 shorted so replaced with...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Sony Bravia KDL-70W850B T-CON board / software update issue
    by eclectric
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue before I give up on this TV.

In short, I replaced the T-CON board due to an error code indicating that was the problem, after which it flashed a green and orange LED meaning software update required. I cannot get the tv to do the required update via USB, so I am stuck.

Here is a rundown of the symptoms and the steps I have taken to troubleshoot:

I inherited the TV with the symptom that it would turn on, then turn off after 5-10 seconds and a red LED flashed 4 or 5 times. Sometimes it would be 4, sometimes...

Nikon D5 – dead, power board issue ?
    by corrize
Hello, the DSLR has heavyly fallen. It is dead : no sign of life and display nothing.

When it worked, it always displayed a card present state on LCD display, even when the battery is empty it display a empty battery symbol.
I found a dead fuse, I replaced it and a mosfet burnt, I changed it and another fuse burned. Nothing burned after. And I can't find any short circuit anywhere, it's weird.

Now, I try to understand how it works.

There is two boards (the little one on pictures has no component) : the first is a « power board » : managing...
