    SLES 2012SVS40 mistake, need help

    hello guys,

i've got a samsung tv to repair with dead backlight
it is a edge backlight with two SLES 2012SVS40 strips.

done a mistake with my order and received a 10 pins strips kit

but the tv got 6 pins strips

do you know if i can use them with some modifications ? or not ?

    thank you

Yes I've done this before with a 55" ES. 10 pins is wired for 4 banks and 6 pins is likely 1 bank. You will need to connect the four banks in series.

      hello

      thank you for your help
don't understand the jump wire you made
there is 4 ramp of leds on each strip, so why just jump minus from one ramp to plus and the ramp after ?

so i try just jump wire like i thought (but maybe it is not good), all leds bright up but backlight is blinking, all leds at the same time.

can you explain this to me ?

      thanks

Sorry, misread my own notes. The 3 wires from the PS are to drive two parallel banks so the 4 banks were wired in series to create two banks to drive from the 3 wires. You should be able to verify from your old strip and the legend on the PS board connector. Not sure if the 40 inch is the same but should be close or similar.

          hello

i've got flickering backlight, and i don't find why.
voltage on input line of the backlight is 130V not really steady but little fluctuation.
the return of the first strip is at 130V too, but the output of the second strip is 6V and really really unstable.

what can do this probleme pls ?

hello, sorry but i misread the fix.
in fact there is 4 bank of leds (on 6 pin strip) drived bye 3 wires by strip
i didn't do like your website but i do this :
            left strip :
pin 1 and 6 (1 is upper one) together, and wired to positive wire from board
pin 5 and ten together and wired to negative from board
            jump pin 3 to 4 and 7 to 8.

on right one exactly the same but pin 1 is lower one.

            now backlight works fine.

BUT : i have new issue on this one, half screen only. defective left panel board.

this board is t400hvn01.0 XL; on this one i have very very hot Q001.

does anyone alreay seen a Q ic short on panel board ? already seen caps but this no.

            thanx

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

Where to find a very small fpc connector 0.3mm between 2 pins ?
              by corrize
Hello, I search this connector (oxydated).
It's a fpc zif low profile connector. It come from camera sensor, it is very small : 0.3mm between 2 pins.
I ordered 2 from Aliexpress called « 0.3mm pitch » but one was 0.5mm between 2 pins and the other 0.6mm. In fact « 0.3mm pitch » seams to be the pad width and not the distance between 2 pins.
I can't find it. The other websites like mouser dont show the datasheet, and I can't check if it is 0.3mm between 2 pins ?

Do you know how to find this connector please ? What is the exact name for find it ?

Help findinf LED strips for TDSystems K32DLT1H
              by edugimeno
              Hi There!
I bought a broken 32" TV today. It has sound but no image. I checked with a flashlight and it was missing backlight
Disassembled down to the led strips and found this TV has been serviced before. Not sure if it was fixed, worked again for some time, and broke again, or maybe last repair wasn't successful

Looks like on previous repair, the center LED strip was replaced with a different model, 7 leds in it instead of 8, but when checking LEDS one by one, leds on the center strip were brighter with same test voltage (multimeter in DIODE mode) so maybe the...

What to do with bad LED strips?
              by eccerr0r
I suspect a lot of you have done a lot of repairs and end up with a lot of bad LED strips...what do you do with them?

Wonder if I should get a pile of LED chips and try to replace the bad units for the heck of it, but I don't really need the strips at the moment because I bought the strips...

Oh... and I think I got my TV working again, though not 100% I don't think, on a white screen I can see a bit of the ghost of the LED strips, must have done something wrong or the LED strips aren't quite the same as the original...
