    BUSH DLED32165HDY - Won't turn on

Hi, I'm looking for anything that can shed some light onto what's causing this issue before it gets taken to the dump. I've replaced the main, power and t-con boards but the issue still persists.

The TV refuses to on. I plug it in, hit the power on button (remote or back of tv) and the front red led flashes 12 times then stays on. I hit the power button again and 12 more led flashes, but then there's no led.

Voltages in the images, both sets of boards are the same.

    Standby light on:

    Standby light off:

I haven't got a backlight tester so haven't attempted to access them, but would dodgy backlights cause this

If you have replaced the main, power and tcon then it certainly looks as though all you have left is the panel leds.
The 100V capacitor close to the led connector looks very much out of shape.

Tested the backlights and they're fine.

Thinking back to the main board I bought, it didn't mention the screen type, only the model of the TV. Could it be incompatible?

Is there any way to install a fresh firmware via usb? 17MB140 / VES315WNDL-2D-N15

There's a Polish site, where somebody has the same flashing light on the 17mb140 board that says replace U14 (eeprom) and flash the firmware at the the link. The link is dead though.

Thanks for the links, but the recovery firmware link seems to be the same one on the Polish site. There's no file to download.

You mention that you have tested the backlights but you have the voltage at the led connector. How did you check the leds?

Took the strips out of the tv and used a DIY tester using 9v batteries that I found on YouTube. All the LEDS lit up super bright, so I guess they're good?

                  Re: BUSH DLED32165HDY - Won't turn on

From your testing how much voltage was required to drive the leds.

                  Are there 4 strips?

Ebay shows there are 11 leds per strip so would require 11 x 3V = 33V minimum if 3V leds per strip.

Does pin 5 of the MAP3249 (U2) have a voltage >2.5V also what is the voltage on pin 1 of U2

You may have a connection problem somewhere between the led connector and where they connect to the strips.

There was two strips. I joined 3 9v batteries together to test each strip and all 11 leds lit up brightly.

I've binned it now anyway. Thanks for your replies though.

HP Omen only do not turn on, only flashes white light
                      by ruletero
                      Hi everyone

Please help me with this laptop

                      HP Omen 15-dc0003la , MB DAG3DBMB8D0 REV. D

It doesn't turn on, when I connect the charger with battery orange light appears on power jack and without battery white light appear, it is fine I think

But if I press power button, power led flashes white once, only that, not consumes anything power, not start, nothing more.

Bios was programmed with a working version, no changes.

                      Voltages

+3vS5 = 3v when I connect charger, next goes to 0 (I think is fine)...

HP Elitebook 850 G8 CAPS lock flashes 7 times and charging light always on
                      by esqmooo
                      Hi,
I'm facing this issue since this morning. When I try to power it on, the CAPS lock light flashes 7 times (or 6 if not counting the first one when the power button is pressed). The charging light is always on as if the laptop was connected to the charger. The issues started gradually where it would flash the light but after trying multiple time it would power on. I tried to open it and I noticed one coil "1R0 2127" gets hot when the charger is connected. Note: the charging light directly comes on when the battery is connected or the charger is connected.

Sony OLED XR-77A80J - 5 Flashes But Turn On After Hard Reset
                      by odie34
I am a hobbyist (not a professional) so please be gentle...

I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen. The set appeared to be working normally, but it shut down after about 15 seconds,...

LG 39ln540v - red light flashes twice, no power to LED driver?
                      by russpall
                      Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                      ...

Insignia NS-LCD019-09 issue: Power light turns blue for 3 seconds, the flashes red before going solid read again
                      by cajoeg
Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...
