There was two strips. I joined 3 9v batteries together to test each strip and all 11 leds lit up brightly.
I've binned it now anyway. Thanks for your replies though. ��

Took the strips out of the tv and used a DIY tester using 9v batteries that I found on YouTube. All the LEDS lit up super bright, so I guess they're good?

Tested the backlights and they're fine.
Thinking back to the main board I bought, it didn't mention the screen type, only the model of the TV. Could it be incompatible?
Is there any way to install a fresh firmware via usb? 17MB140 / VES315WNDL-2D-N15
There's a Polish site, where somebody has the same flashing light on the 17mb140 board that says replace U14 (eeprom) and flash the firmware at the the link. The link is dead though.Leave a comment:
