Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
Have you tried unplugging the main board from the power board and plugging the tv in to see if the backlights light up and stay lit?Comment

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
The voltages you are missing are the +30vdc and the B13v, correct?
If this is correct, check what the VCC voltage is for ICM801, check across CM801 (10µf/50v)Last edited by R_J; 05-30-2021, 06:25 PM.Comment

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
The B13v can be measured on the connector CNM803, pins 1,3,5, or 7, The 30v should be on J860 or the component hole of RM994 labeled Vdrv The 30v is the supply for the backlight circuit.
If the main board is disconnected from this power supply, the backlights should come on (if the led's are ok)
After looking at the board, legend, The Vdrv may only be 30vdcLast edited by R_J; 05-30-2021, 06:25 PM.Comment

Double check all those voltages with the backlights disconnected and see if anything changes. If so most likely the backlights as mentioned by R_J.Comment

It's hard to trace the circuit using the board pictures. Have you checked FP903S fuse? is this the one that was blowing and was replaced in post #1?
Next to the fuse there is a jumper J849, this jumper should have 15vdc, it is the vcc for the sem3110a
I thought the B13v and the Vdrv, was from the same power supply but it is not with this model.Last edited by R_J; 05-30-2021, 09:22 PM.Comment

Re: 65js9000 power supply bn44-00818a
These components are in the PRIMARY so you must use HOT ground. and these are DC voltages not AC.Last edited by R_J; 05-31-2021, 11:46 AM.Comment

Vcc across cm801 was 15.6vdcand the jumper 43v ac and -23.5 fluctuating in dcLast edited by R_J; 05-31-2021, 05:40 PM.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by BabbarI found a project in the electronics trash yesterday. A nice Argon SA1 audio amp with some electrical issue. Took it apart and saw that the 4A250V fuse was blown so started lifting components to find the short. Eventually got to two MOSFETs (model FTA14N50C) that are shorted and when i took them out the short was gone.
Now i didn't have any replacements of the same model of course but i found a couple with pretty similar spec i thought (K10A60D & K12A50D) and put them in. Also replaced the blown fuse with a 3.5A250V one. Checked another time for short circuit and plugged it in.... -
by vletrHello,
Looking for next steps on troubleshooting for an external power supply made by EDAC, model EA11011H-120. The power supply was dropped onto a tile floor and initially and briefly worked but the led power indicator light faded out and the power supply showed no signs of life since.
In disassembly, I found that the large capacitor had leaked and was reading open when measured. The fuse nearest to the AC in had also blown, with no continuity. I ordered a new capacitor and fuse and replaced both, but on power-up with no load the fuse immediately blew.

by sam_sam_samAbout a month ago we had a transformer jumper wire that burned in two different places between two transformers caused over $200 thousand dollars worth of damage to VFD drives at least 10 of them and a memory card and quite a few power supply as well
Now we have most of the equipment that got damaged back up and running except a feeder that has issues and we are waiting for some parts for
Now we also have another piece of equipment that was blowing fuses on the 110 volt controller switch circuit with the “E” stops and one switching power (24 volt) supply and a transformer... -
