    TNPA5608 panasonic PSU dead

    hello,

make new thread to discuss about psu issue
on same tv panasonic 42E5 series, that take storm lightning and motherboard fried
the PSU not works, got 325 on big cap primary section
no other stable voltage, on primary mosfet i have got 325V on drain, 0V on source and gate
the voltage near ic 730 are unstable too
    not find shorted cap
the only thing i find strange on this is only 130 on diode mode on d7211 in both ways (the diode is ok desoldered)
burnt area near primary mosfet , replace it but no fix

what can i chekc now please ?

    thank you

How do you test MOSFET in laptops ?
        by Jane
I tried to use this method:

        Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
Now, place the red probe on the Gate (G) and the black probe on the

general question when a mosfet on primary of transformer is burned
        by Wolf1977
        hi
in a welding machine i had a mosfet and four components wich connect with it burned
i ordered all the damaged components and replace it but when i put the device on the plug all the components burned again i had tested before and i had not shunts
i dont understand whats happen wrong
more particular on the schematic q11p01 mosfet q11p02 tranzistor
three paralel resistors had burned q11p07 zener shunt q11p08 open
when i changed all these shunts q11po7 mosfet and tranzistors
maby the transformer has problem on your opinion or something on...

Dell E5530 completely dead and MOSFET getting HOT! Please help.
        by roxboy1984
        Hi,

So I'm trying to fix the above mentioned dell laptop. It has no signs of life at all when plugged in. If I connect the AC I noticed the MOSFET PQ5 gets very hot. So I'm assuming there is a short somewhere. I'm still learning so please could someone assist me. Thanks for any help given.

I did try swopping the Mosfet which is a AO4423 with one from a donor board being a SI4483ADY as they both have the same VDS @ 30V. once I swopped the Mosfet when I plugged in the charger it would just switch off so I swopped the MOSFET back....

VGA MOSfet permanently shorted and loss of MOSfet pad
        by Nooy
Hello everyone, I recently found this badcaps site and super Learn Electronics Repair youtube channel. And I wanted to learn how to troubleshoot power supplies and VGA cards and how to practice soldering, since I already have a properly defective piece of them. I am currently trying to solve two problems:

I have a Gigabyte GV-RX460WF2OC-4GD type card. I managed to find the faulty MOSfet (AON6414A) on it, which I replaced. The card starts up, but after about half a minute, the MOSfet in the same position will be shorted again. Is it possible that the PWM controller driving the MOSfet...

Help identifying mosfet on Razer Blade RZ09 (CH570_MB_NT)
        by redbaron1007
I have a Razer laptop (RZ09 MB# CH570_MB_NT) that has a shorted mosfet marked BND M03 E067 that I'm unable to find anywhere online. Does anyone either know what the part number is for this mosfet or have a schematic I can find it in?

Backstory on the whole thing the laptop was plugged into a lamp at a hotel. The lamp got unplugged while it was charging and now the system won't power on anymore. I found the caps around this mosfet shorted and when I injected voltage into the caps the mosfet got hot and my bench psu was pulling 5A. Pretty sure this is all that's wrong with the laptop...
