If i check the voltage at the backlight fuse instead of it being 12.6v im only getting close to 10v. would this be an issue? also i tried holding a torch against the back of the display through the apple logo to see if i can see anything on the screen and i am unable to see anything.
Could this be an issue with the GPU? would the external display still work if the gpu was faulty?Leave a comment:

MacBook Pro 2020 (Intel version) screen ghosting issue
Please could someone advise me on what may be causing this. When I open my MacBook lid the screen seems to malfunction and gets lines on it and the picture tends to ghost whatever is on the screen. If I start closing the lid it gets to a point where the screen displays normally. The display is fine on a second monitor. I can’t see any issue with the ribbon cables. Is there anything else that may be causing this issue that I can check?...1 Photo -

Macbook Pro 13" M1 liquid damage and now reboots every 30 seconds
I wonder if anyone has any ideas on what may cause this. I have a macbook pro 13" M1 that had some liquid spilt on it. The touchbar no longer works and the device will power on for 30 seconds and then shuts off and repeats perpetually. I am new to repairs and am just wondering if there is possibly anything specific that may be causing this behaviour that i could test or replace or if the laptop is a complete loss and i shouldnt waste my time. Any help is greatly appreciated. -
Could someone please advise on ps4 PSU
Hi, I have the following power supply for my
ps4 in pic attached. I’ve tested the fuses and the one fuse seems to have died.( you can see I’ve removed it in the attached pic) I just wanted to ask if it’s likely that this is the only source of issue or if there is likely to be other damaged components. Thanks for any advice.... -
Lenovo ideapad 3 no power, orange light blinks once when charger inserted
Hi guys,
I wonder if anyone has encountered this. I have a Lenovo ideapad 3 that shows no signs of life except when the charger is first inserted the orange charge light comes on for a brief second and then goes off. There is no other sign of life and no fans or lights come on.
if I check the voltage going to the battery it spikes when I insert the charger and then hoes back down.
i tried injecting 2V but nothing gets hot. Any ideas? Im still a noob. -
Please could someone help me with this UNiFi LR AP board repair
Hi guys,
So I have a Unifi LR AP one of the older ones. And I accidentally connected it to the POE port on my mini UPS while it was in 24V mode and it must have fried something. Attached is a pic of the board, when I connect it to the PoE injector the one diode I’ve circled gets very hot, is this likely the issue and I just need to replace this diode or would something else have blown from the overload? Thanks for the help....
