TV works normally for about 10 minutes then the picture freezes and then the TV goes into a restarting loop. All the voltages seem ok and all the caps on the power board look ok and test ok with ESR meter. Inverter board to power board lead has burn marks at the power board end as shown in pictures. No signs of burning on the inverter board and caps test ok. Not sure if this is a problem but Diode DM804 (schematic D2) on the power board reads as shorted in circuit but disconnecting one leg it reads normal. Disconnecting the inverter board makes the TV stay on permanently with all voltages testing as in diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Samsung LE37R88BDX/XEU BN44-00157A Turns off after 10 minutes
On the surface those reading look ok except you have 24V on CNM803 pin 10 which I suspect is in error.
You could try a can of freezer spray ( or inverted can of air duster spray) to cool down the EEPROM or BGA IC's on the mainboard and see if that helps.
DM804 is in parallel with a 0.2 ohm resistor so would read short when still connected to the board.Willing to help but I'm no expert. -
Re: Samsung LE37R88BDX/XEU BN44-00157A Turns off after 10 minutes
Yes I made a mistake on the voltages it should have been a ground on CNM803 pin 10.
There's a big heat shield covering the chips so I put a computer case fan on top and powered it up and it doesn't shut down anymore. So something is getting too hot.Comment

Re: Samsung LE37R88BDX/XEU BN44-00157A Turns off after 10 minutes
Found a main board on ebay for £23 with all the numbers matching the old board. Everything seems to be ok now with the bonus of having a UK tuner, the old one was locked on Hong Kong region with no other options so the clock was always a few hours out on the guide which was very annoying.Comment

Re: Samsung LE37R88BDX/XEU BN44-00157A Turns off after 10 minutes
I made a mistake, the main board on ebay for £23 was for a 40 inch Tv in one of my other posts.
I removed the big heat shield covering the chips and noticed heat colour distortion and brown circular marks where the two capacitors had been touching it. I put a PC heat sink on the graphics chip and the TV worked with no problems. I drilled extra holes it the heat shield cover so that the capacitors didn't touch it anymore and the TV has been working with no problems now for 2 weeks.Comment

Re: Samsung LE37R88BDX/XEU BN44-00157A Turns off after 10 minutes
The problem came back again so I removed heat shield and tested the 2 caps with mustimeter in diode mode, one was reading 440 and the other was reading 118. I replaced the low reading one with a new 1000uf 16v normal cap and replaced the heat shield and it seems to be working normally again. I will update if anything goes wrong.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by ohrenI hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.
I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.
The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively.... -

by NicktronicHey everyone,
This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.
