    Westinghouse 19" with no DTV

Hello everyone. I recently acquired this LCD DTV as non-functional. The model is an SK-19h210s. It was totally dead so I decided to take it apart and see what I could find. It turns out someone had already been in there as every plug/cable was disconnected and 1 cap had been replaced. While it was apart I found a bad surface mount fuse so I temporarily jumped it and put everything back together. The tv powered on and seems to work, for the most part. However, I am not able to get a picture from my PS3 or from my DVD player using the component connection. I did get a signal from the DVD player using HDMI but I haven't tried it with the PS3. The second problem I have, which really is the main issue since I'd like this to be my kitchen TV, is that I am not able get any digital channels over cable or antenna. It tunes in all the analog channels over my cable connection, but no digital ones. Is there something I could check/replace to make this functional again? I know these and many other LCD's have issues with low quality caps going bad, I was wondering if a complete recap might bring the digital tuner back to life, or is that just plain wishful thinking.
    Thanks.

What is the date of manufacturer of the TV? ATSC tuners became mandatory on sets manufactured after March 1, 2007. AFIK, QAM tuners are not mandatory.

emilime75, the digital signals provided by your cable company are not the same as the broadcast digital signals. In my case, with comcast, I don't have access to any of their channels above 98 without their rip-off box that never seems to work right [always pixelating but they can't find anything wrong].
Stupidity should be a crime, especially for drivers. I have NO patience for them.

Thank you both for your responses. While what you both have to say is true I don't think it explains my issues. I get a good number of digital channels on my Panasonic plasma, including the local channels in HD and the digital music channels all provided by Comcast without an STB. Also, I tried using an antenna with the Westinghouse in question and it did not pick up any stations that way either. Then there is still the problem of not getting a picture using the component input from 2 different sources.

maybe you have to set the atsc mode in the menu?
beware that these westinghouse things are the cheapest of the cheap.i have seen several that could not hold a digital signal for shit.unless you were in a strong signal area it was useless.a cheap digitalstream converter box did much better.

I missed the model number; indeed it does have ATSC and QAM tuners. I think kc8adu's point may be valid for the tuner. The fact that the component input also does not work indicates a second problem.
