hi to all
I have the above TV and it presents the following problem
when i tune in and search for terrestrial digital channels he finds them normally
but I hear only sound I do not see image and I have to see with mpeg4 decoder external device
what could be wrong?

have you tried a factory reset then re scan for channels using remote Put TV in standby then press Info Menu Mute Power

do you get any image on the lcd screen use a torch etc see if you can see the no signal screen this maybe a back light issue as older ccfl model

no sir the TV has no problem I use it normally but with an external decoder
mpeg4
the problem is that when I tune in and it shows me when the process is over that it has found 50 TV channels for example
when I go to the channels I only have sound not image
I did a factory reset was my first thought but the problem was not solved
so I asked if it needs an upgrade or if the tuner has a problem

i havent picture sir right now because the TV is a friend of mine and he has it
but its BN41-00980C

i have looked on the samsung downlaod page and cant see any firmware downloads for this set maybe un supported now due to the age of the tv the only other option maybe a replacement mainboard from ebay they are really cheap.
