    55as802b Pink tint

    Hi

I was after some advice. My mates panasonic 55AS802b has a pink tint to it especially noticeable on a white background.

We have ran the lcd pattern test and all the other colours are fine apart from the white which is pink.

My question is, can this be altered via the service menu through the whitebalance section r-gain g- gain etc?

Is it the lcd screen or the backlights going faulty?

from the service manual it states The test pattern is created by the circuit in LCD Panel.
In LCD Panel test mode, this test pattern is displayed unaffected by signal processing for RF or input signal.
If the normal picture is displayed, LCD Panel must be okay and the cause of failure must be in A board.

(I assume its the lcd from the back of the tv through the vents the backlights do look pinkish)

Any advice would be appreciated (My phone will not allow me to upload any photos at the moment)

Not pink, that's purple, usually caused by overdriven backlights, if that's what it is, the cure is new backlights and turning them down as low as can be tolerated.

As nomoresony says in post #4 the problem is that the led's have turned towards blue emission. If you search the forum for "blue leds" you can see examples.
Replacing the leds and turning down the backlight is the solution
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

those photos cant approve to you the issue we talked about LED back light
take out the back cover.. then you will be able to see thru many wholes the back light if its colored or pure cool white as it should be

To help stop them from failing again, turn down the "Backlight" as low as possible for viewing.

                              Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                              Then each time...

                              Hello all,
I got this beauty of a 65" Android Smart TV from a roommate whose boss through it out because it didn't work. I've fixed a few TVs before, but was being stupid on this one:

                              Original issue:
TV powered down after a minute or so, but picture was fine.
Tried replacing main board, which didn't work. I should have just replaced the AC Power board.

Months later, I replaced the power board, so I can see the screen. I lost / threw out my original main board, and there is now what I believe to be a defective main board in the TV. My symptoms...
