    Hisense LEDN40K Back lights

    Hi All

Got a problem with a Hisense LEDN40K. There is no back light . when I check the LED strips ( of which there are 8 with 5 LEDs on each one) I find that a lot of them are blown, there isnt one strip functioning. some have 2 leds working some none and in total there are26 LEDs blown out of 40. The weird thing is I have had this problem 4 times previous customers have refused the quote. But I would like to get to the bottom of this. does the PSU go faulty and blow all the LEDs.
Any input would be gratefully received

    James

I suspect an over-current situation, there he measures and does a fairly simple resistor mod to lower the current: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2_WtM5DMx0
