    Samsung QLED TV disassembly....impossible?

Has anyone in here figured out a way to remove a screen from a Samsung QLED TV without it getting tore up? I've got one here that needs backlights...but the screen appears to be bonded to the chassis.

    Thank you everyone!

This post gives a hint towards the construction of the TV, probably glued really strongly on the top and bottom

Well that will teach us techs to fix someone's Samsung QLED TV. The days of these types of repairs are growing short.

          Thanks a lot....Samsung

              Re: Samsung QLED TV disassembly....impossible?

Samsung quality has really gone down hill since the MU series and and the newer models are designed to fail prematurely and engineered to make it harder to repair even for seasoned technicians. The video is a panel repair facility with very expensive panel repair laser soldering machines that are not at our disposal but it does give you a example on how panels can be repaired when tab bonds are damaged. On the bezeless designed tv's the bottom of the panel fits down into a thin bezel and the other 3 sides use a wide strip of 3M two way adhesive to hold the panel down to the chassis. Even though it looks nice it's a recipe for disaster. Welcome to the world of todays Samsung engineering. MU series=bad panels...NU series=could be a array of poor quality problems. RU and TU series=usually bad backlights or poor quality power supplies and mains, as well as more shorts on the panel driver boards. QN series use surge happy power supplies, mains, cheap backlights and more panel driver shorts. Heaven help you if you have any backlight problem on the new NEO led Tv's after your warranty is up. And now they are admitting to the use of a Tv Blocker App secretly embedded onto your software where they can remotely brick your tv whenever they want. Do you really trust them to use it responsibly? A look at Samsung's reputation for being corrupt is a hint. Buyer beware and for all those that have newer Samsung's keep Auto Update off on software version updates. It's a shame because they have nice picture quality but designed to fail in 2 to 3 years now. Shameful. Charge more on QN series backlight repairs and I usually turn them down now. I'm too old for that mess.

                  Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                  by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
                  by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
                  by Kiberge
                  HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

                  by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Samsung UN50NU7400 - No Picture (but boot screen and screensaver)
                  by arbitarytwist
Have a Samsung UN50NU7400 which shows a boot screen and a screen saver if left on long enough but no picture ?

Would a moving screen saver confirm that the panel is ok or it could still be a panel issue ?
