    Re: TCON board compatibility question

Did you check the Gamma Voltages?
How about providing good clear straight shots of the whole T-CON board.
What is the history of the TV?

I see, that makes a lot of sense, I wasn't aware firmware changed.

This is the error I get, screen looks washed out, colours are very unsaturated, everything else appears to work fine.

I have removed the TCON board and visually inspected it and see no obvious faults. I have checked each capacitor, 0ohm fuse, fuse, inductor and all seem to be ok (tests onboard with multimeter).
I have tried replugging in all the flexi cables but there is no change.

I have done some basic checks to see what voltage it is getting and around the DCIN for the TCON I vaguely remember getting:
    1.2v
    8.7v
    12v
    17v
(I can reconfirm these if you like)

Out of curiosity, if I were to be unable to repair this one and buy a new V500DK1-CKS1 which came from a different model of TV then desolder and transfer over the firmware chips from my current TCON board, would this work?

    TCON board compatibility question

Hi all just a quick question.

I have a TX65-AX802B Panasonic screen which has a faulty TCON board. The TCON board model number is V500DK1-CKS1. Can I use any other TCON with the same model number or are TCON boards matched specifically to the TV model number they are paired with?

    Thanks

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
    by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...
