    2 Concertone 19"'s same problems

Hi all, learned to recap monitors from here and now have these 2 problems sitting out in the shop.

    model Concertone FR LCD-200T

I work for an RV dealer and we replaced these two 19" LCD tv's under warranty but they didnt even want them back.

Problem seems like bad caps but I cant see one that really jumps out at me.

Power light comes on green for the 4 seconds then goes back to red. I see no activity on the screen, in the dark or with a flashlight.

I do see this rusty looking stuff but it looks like a cheap glue job.

    ideas.

A cap can fail with no outward signs. Also, one of the power regulators may have gone out.

You'll have to test more thoroughly. First order of business is testing voltages...is the PSU alright voltage wise? Low voltages suggest a short somewhere, possibly a shorted cap or transistor.

Next would be to get an ESR meter and test the caps.... or use an oscilloscope to check for excessive noise.

Ok, if you look at picture oo46 the 2 caps on that board are giving me readings in the 10 through 35 range, even though they are 470's, where the ones on the other board are giving within 25 +\- of the rating.

The uF on those is that low? If so, they are obviously bad.

Replace ALL caps of the same type that fail....the uF can be OK but the ESR can be out of spec. (even if they are good, they will likely fail soon)

Since when can you test the capacitance while the cap is still soldered to the board and get the real value?

You know I was gonna ask myself that but being a rookie I didnt know.

I guess that makes sense. I tested the meter with known loose good caps and then those. I was more concerned with the snap on meter and not thinking.

            Whoops.

Oh I was assuming you had desoldered them!

Yes, they must be tested out of circuit!

i verified the driver of the péripherals and they are ok. i verified the definition and settings of the graphic card and of the screen : definition 1600x900 and refreshment frequency :60hz. (they are the sames for the graphic card and the screen).

                USB problems?
                by Hondaman
Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

Lenovo 11e problems (any sata hdds are not recognized, sleep battery drain)
                by clabr
Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them...

display screen problems after changing motherboard
                by jean luc ferre
                Hello,
First on my laptop i had a motherboard with a pentium 6100 processor. Installing w11 i was blocked on the 23h2 version...impossibility to upgrade toward 24h2 because the SSE4.2 functionnality of the cpu was missing. About displaying and screen looking all was perfect.
I changed of motherboard with an intel I3 processor...and now i don't find the previous aspects of the displaying.
Now i have a veiled screen and pixels are missing though the graphics parameters have not changed.
Desinstalling and reloading the drivers in the same time on the graphic card (intel hd...

Lenovo X13-Yoga Gen 1: hibernation problems
                by rumpumpel1
I have a Lenovo X13-Yoga Gen 1 that has problems with hibernation mode. When the laptop goes to hibernation mode - either via the start menu or after a time-out - after a short period of activity where the power-on LED flashes, the power consumption should go down to almost 0 and the LED should go out. Most of the time, however, the power consumption indicates further CPU activity and the power LED remains on, but there is no image. Sometimes the CPU activity stops after a few minutes, sometimes not at all. If the laptop enters this state, it can only be brought back to life by a long press on...
