LVDS board not working with Mitsubishi LCD

Hi,
I have two identical LCD displays from Mitsubishi/OPTREX, reference AA084XB01 and I've bought off ebay an LVDS board for it.

Connecting the board to either display gives me vertical coloured stripes.
The seller sent me another board and the same happens.
I am thinking that either the wrong firmware was used or the pinout is, somehow, wrong and the cables are wrongly connected.
Please take a look at the pictures attached.

i think its pin out order.. before when i ordered LVDS AV driver boards i did ordered the panel with it to avoid any trouble later if i going to work on other panel or when testing drivers.

BTW there are DIY PCB for LVDS to work around of the pins order.. i think you need one now or at future too

Thank you for your answer.
But do I really need an extra PCB, or just to swap the pins in the molex connector to the correct position?

I have the datasheet of the LCD, but I don't know the pinout in the board. Do you know if I can get this information easily?

If you have the original LCD display can you use your meter to check how it is wired.

i recommend the PCB just for further future use of the LVDS AV boards.. and easy to swap.

let see yours LCD pin data.. the boards are easily to know them and put them in order after you determine the VCC and G. the other gate signal will be in one line such p1+ p1- p2+ P- P3... and so on. ( this explanation based on OLED Panel Not LCD with BL )

Hi,
Today I've taken a look at the datasheets of, both, the LCD panel and the controller board.
Attached, you will find screenshots of the pinout for both devices (LCD and controller), taken from each datasheet.

I've noticed that the cable which connects to the LVDS on the panel side, doesn't have two pins connected, which should be ground. Is that important, maybe not, since there are other pins which are ground.

I have one doubt regarding the contoller's datasheet. What does it mean ODD and EVEN in each LVDS link - and +?

Your LCD panel is only single channel.
BTW, please provide the full PDF spec of your controller board and the LCD panel.
It is also important to verify VCC pins and Ground pins before trying to power up the board and panel.

Just for example.. as there are many kinds it depend on where and how to use them

BTW. from all the data you upload over here.. no one of them talked about MHz of LVDS DCLK.

one things more to use one channel display with Dual channel LVDS AV driver boards required almost cases changing / workaround with firmware.

I have been through both datasheets and tested the connections with a multimeter.

Everything seems to be correctly wired except for 2 pins, which should be GND/VSS but they are not connected. Actually, the pins don't exist in the connectors on both sides.

Please check the datasheets attached to this post. Maybe I have missed something.

what are you talking about ?? if you follow the data sheet of both yours Panel can be connected to ODD pins..

What I was referring to can be seen on the picture attached. There are 2 pins missing in the connector and those pins are ground on the LCD side.

I am using ODD pinout, but still no working. I cannot see what can be wrong from the wiring point of view. :-(

I look at the manual of your board, I do not see how you set the output Voltage to 3.3V to run the T-CON board of your LCD panel. How did you set it to 3.3V?
What do you have on pin 1 and 2 on the LVDS connector of your LCD panel?

did you tried to inter factory mode to change the lvds mode to auto ?

Hi,
I have just tested the LCD again.

1. Auto mode - nothing happens (vertical stripes visible)
2. Entering factory mode - nothing happens
3. Voltage in pins 1 and 2 of the lvds connector 3.3V ? - yes
4. Connect computer to the board - computer detects display correctly

When I connect the computer it is recognised with the correct resolution and I can even move the mouse out of my laptop's screen to the external monitor, but I cannot see the mouse pointer due to the stripes.

The manual says that I should use a 12V and 3A power supply. However, I am using a 1A power supply. Nevertheless, for such a small monitor it should be more than enough. This board can be attached to 15'' display, so the 3A should apply to larger displays only.

In summary, the display is detected by the computer, 3.3V are present and no matter what I do only coloured vertical lines are displayed.

Tomorrow, I will put some LEDs in a breadboard to test the LVDS wiring.
Let's see what I can find.
