Does anyone know how to repair the HDMI on these boards? I tried heating the chip already with no luck. I got no signal on the screen.

All of the solder balls need to get hot enough to melt around 217c/422f. If you were under, then try again, if you were too much over then you've probably killed the chip or it was dead already.

The chip isnt dead. I forgot to mention the HDMI port 2 is working. It's just for HDMI port 1.

Have you looked at the pins in the HDMI socket housing to ensure they are not damaged.

Yes they look good. It also doesnt kick in or out when i try wiggling it.

There is power fed to each HDMI socket for the auto detect to work, have you checked it's there ?

Pretty sure this tv doesnt support arc

Well like i said hdmi 2 is working and when i plug into hdmi 1 it does detect it because the option to select the port opens up in the menu.

this mean simple link (main IC ) working and detect. but no signal. ..only the socket of this HDMI will be causer.

So i need to examine the port itself a little more closely.

the MB are sandwich.. so if you just re solider all pins of the socket from downside of the boards will help..

I dont understand how to solder from downside of the board if its sandwich and pins aren't exposed

take a look on the downside.. you will find the pins even just heat one by one with soldering iron will do the job,, but need flex but on all pins to avoid short contact.. or just leave it and living with it if the set belong to you

It has the most recent.

take a look on the downside.. you will find the pins even just heat one by one with soldering iron will do the job,, but need flex but on all pins to avoid short contact.. or just leave it and living with it if the set belong to you

The only pins on the bottom side are the mounting pins to hold the port in place.
