    Samsung le37c530

Hello, I have this LCD TV on my workbench and after 5 minutes or so of working fine, it turns off by itself and the standby light turns on indefinately and the TV cannot be turned on. I have to unplug it for a couple of minutes in order for the TV to turn on.

I have disconnected the cable to the main board and the PSU turns the backlight on, only for 5 minutes though. So the problem is with the PSU and not the mainboard. I haven't had the time to check anything yet but I was hoping someone here knows about this fault.

resolder all parts on the heatsinks and also the transformers etc even if the joints look good reflow/add fresh solder then try the tv again.

Also you can check the transformers on the inverter board, the ones you have are easier to check than some
tvs, youtube is your friend for examples of testing them.

You need to show us the pictures of all the boards and the whole backside of the TV showing all the boards..

i agree with reflow job on psu, do it on at least every big component's soldering unless you are experienced enough to detect "circled" solderings, thus those with ring crack. Check also the psu-mainb. cable's connector, it can be burned or something bad.

I have resoldered the PSU but the problem is still there. What else can cause this fault?

have you got a fan you can blow cold air at the psu and see if its a heat related issue

Since you have 5 minutes before shutdown, you can try heating up each board with a hairdryer to see if you can accelerate the shutdown process. This will hopefully help narrow down which board is causing the problem.

I would start by replacing CS810 & CS809 capacitors, I would also replace CP807 & CM807, these are all on the ic's VCC line

REPEAT: Check also the psu-mainb. cable's connector, it can be burned or something bad

OK, so must check PSU>INVERTER cable..

I heated the PSU and the problem came up faster, then I freeze sprayed the PSU and the TV turned on again instantly.
I resoldered every single component and the TV works all day now.

The TV came back with the same fault after 4 days of normal operation. Maybe the capacitors need replament. I will start with this.
