    Toshiba backlight not turning on

    Hello,

I have a Toshiba 50L711U18 and the backlight is not turning on. Tried using a flashlight and I CAN see an image. My phone also tries to connect to the chromecast on it as well. These two things are telling me that the T-con board and the main board are most likely working properly. I opened up the front of the display to get at the backlights. When testing them I noticed that a few of them are a dark blue, almost purple color. I read that they might be on their way out, could these few bad LEDs stop the rest of the backlight array from turning on?

I left the TV unplugged overnight, when I plugged it in again the backlights did turn on for 10-15 seconds then shut off and flashed a 12 red light code. I also got a 5 flash code once but it hasn't returned, the 12 is consistent. I plan on pulling the display off again and rechecking the LEDs, any other troubleshooting help would be much appreciated. I will post my voltages in an attachment.

Toshiba 40L2400VQ No backlight but LEDs are fine
        by buchman
        Hi,
I have a Toshiba LED tv model number 40L2400VQ.
I don't receive the correct voltage at the output to the LEDs.

I disassembled the front panel and checked all leds and they are fine. Then I checked the voltage to the leds on the power board and it flactuate in milivolts.
Tested all caps with esr meter and they are fine.
The diodes are fine and the resistors too.
        Where should I concentrate on?
        Thanks in advance....

ASUS ROG Strix G713QR - Keyboard, backlight and side LEDs don't work
        by hollox123
Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:

        1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
        2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
        3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work

The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.

I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.

But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,...

Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U - Replaced Backlight LEDs but now no image/display or garbled
        by signal.quest
I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...

        Toshiba 39P2300VE, faulty backlight LEDs
        by spintop
        Hi

No backlight issue with the TV.
Opened up panel and found 3 bad leds in the panel.

        LED is about 3mm x 3mm, i assume they are the 3030 type. Label on the strip is :AG-D1 94V-O 1345 ( 6 leds in a strip )

Thinking of buying and replacing the individual SMD leds. Found some online, but they have both 3V and 6V. Not sure which one i need, any idea how to tell ?

        Thank you....
