Thats a coil in 0603 size. Do measure the resistance to GND on both pads of this coil before soldering a new coil. One of the pads may be shorted.

the think is that coil has burned and no component was there.... Any kind of contuctor can be replaced or must be exact the same?

As per suggestion in post #3, remove all power. Meter in resistance mode. Measure the resistance to ground of each pad of this missing and burnt part.

          More suggestions are:

          1) replace with any 0603 size ferrite bead with high enough current support to power this lcd backlight. Recommend at least 1A-3A to be safe. For example, see MaxEcho in Taiwan for ideas. The values are not critical.

          2) a better option is to place a resettable smd 0603 fuse here so this event does not repeat in the future. The fuse will stop a high current event and self-heal after the event is removed.

          3) if really in a pinch and 100% sure there is shorting fault on these 2 pads or the display then you can just apply a short across these 2 pads. Note that this can lead to more damage if the fault is not fixed.

Summary, some event caused the missing part to act like a fuse and was destroyed. Likely the magnet wire of the coil heated up and was burnt from the excessive current draw.

as I mentioned before the reason that burned conductor coil was a short of 40 pin with the ground from lvds cable.. Thas why the backlight of display does not work.. A friend of mine in his action to replace the display due to dark spots he broke the small corner of lvds cable whish does not seeing with eyes and he made short to ground... After I replece the lvds cable I have picture but not backlight... Shall I leave it in this condition or I shall have more problems if I but a conductor...

I put a conductor but makes short circuit and does not start the laptop after removing it it works without backlight and the port of vga works fine.. On 40 pin of lvds has 3.3v...can I make backlight to work without taking signal from motherboard

Then this coil is not a filter coil for EMI but rather for a switching power supply and a replacement coil will be required.

Trace this part to the nearby IC which will be the power rail switching controller. Post a clear pic and/or topside markings for a review. Ideally we can identify the switching power controller and then locate a datasheet to learn more about this missing inductor.

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
                    by Ierwin
                    Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

Toshiba 49U6763DA (Mainboard: Vestel 17MB120) Powers on, backlight ok, no picture
                    by jaifraic
                    Hello,

I have a Toshiba 49U6763DA TV that shows no picture. It turns on, the backlight works, but nothing else. I don't have a remote at the moment to check if this is working.

I have opened the unit, every plug is connected, nothing seems to get hot and all caps look ok. I checked the small caps on the tcon board and the two boards that sit between the tcon and the panel (I don't know what they are called). None of the caps are shorted. The tcon board gets 12V (actually 12.5V) and the fuses are fine.

So I'm thinking that the motherboard is defective...

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
                    by stylishconsultant
                    Hi All,

                    Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

Toshiba 49U7763DB (Mainboard: Vestel 17MB120) firmware issues after sporadic power cu
                    by cheeky2
I have this Toshiba 49U7763DB Tv which was suffering issues after various electrical power cuts, which happened in quick succession
Originally the TV was powering on and then very shortly powering off. I managed to get into the menu structure before powering off and carry out a first time installation of the TV. Which didn't make much difference. I have managed to factory reset (that didn't make any difference either).
The firmware inside the 17MB120 is corrupted and is causing some strange issues so my question is does anyone have any suitable firmware for this model?

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                    by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...
