Samsung JU6000 panel issue post backlight repair

Hi folks I really would appreciate help on this one as the panel was working fine before removal and i never had such issues before. hope somebody can tell me the stupid thing i did or didnt do here....

This TV needed purple back lights replacing so did the work and upon re assembly the panel appears problematic, see photo below. Right side fades out with some horizontal white lines but they dont run entire length and a small vertical mess of lines far right from mid to bottom. I have noted when i apply pressure to the right side in the centre edge of the bezel the panel blanks out totally and needs powering down to restore. Already placed 1mm sponge foam pieces down both side inside bezel to press COF tabs home as construction on this set seems a bit flimsy and that did cure some of the white horizontal lines but still problems remain if its fractured then hayho.

Maybe it could have got damaged whilst out waiting for parts i hope its recoverable if it is naff panel its first time i done that and really didnt like having it out so long waiting for parts. Please tell me why it takes 4 days for a person to visit the post office to drop a parcel off, that wait was v irritating.

Also i am looking for a the best pdf ebook on panel theory, whats the consensus on that here? I trained up on CRT and often wake in the early morning reciting the LOPT frequency, also got abducted by aliens between 2000 and 2018

Seems like something might be shorting to the metal frame, if not it is likely a damaged panel.

Thanks for replies have had success took bezel off again today and found two side tabs clearly faulty as manipulating them caused lines and panel short so clearly they been damaged whilst panel was out to long, lesson learned. Glad to report panel is restored thanks to Tabs on BOTH sides.

Still looking for good learning on panel theory if anybody knows of a recommended ebook etc my books are 20+ years out of date now those aliens have no appreciation for relative passage of time away form earth time space.

For the record this lasted a day as lines returned and liquid crystal started leeching turns out there was a fracture up the right side of the panel an inch from the edge as with some light pressure of my fingers i pushed it in with a snap and that was the end of this TV. I will never leave a panel out longer than a day from now on.

Samsung UN65TU8000 - Panel Issue [ hole in ribbon cable ]
              by NWArkGuy
Well, I will be the first to admit that I screwed up...

In attempting to replace the backlight in a UN65TU8000, I made a hole through one of the ribbon cables between the board that runs along the bottom of the back of the TV and the panel. This lead to a between a 1/4 to 1/2 inch vertical stripe running the full height of the image.

I don't have the experience; personally, to solder a bridging wire for the paths that were cut. So, I have been on the hunt for other Samsung TV's of similar size.

I have 2 that I have found and have in my possession. ...

Samsung UE70TU7020K Which lines to tape on a bad panel
              by learnmore
              Hello Community,

              I'm working on a Samsung UE70TU7020K.

It looks like a bad panel. There is only 1 FPC cable from the Tcon (built into mainboard) to the panel.

I'm using a piece of tap a few mils (covers about 8-10 pins), at different locations and have had varying results but nothing that is remotely watchable (multiple lines across all the screen, half screen and total black out on screen). The buffer board is divided into 3 boards. I've disconnected the end board one at a time but each time the screen was totally black. I presume it's because the potential...

Samsung Series 9 - BIOS issue
              by Kjell
After installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).

Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...

Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?
              by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...
