my guess is that the set was taken apart to fix a problem on the "back side" and someone damaged one of the layers on the back.

About to take it back, because I fear I have a bad panel now.
Just picked it up today. It's the 43-inch variant of the Samsung NU6900:

Just got an exchange for another one of the same manufacturer and model.
There's a curved line in the lower-left, too! But, it's in a different spot.
It's looking a lot like the way these get assembled, LOL.

I like these TVs, because they're no signs of "RGBW", unlike the LG UH6100 series.

Re: Has anyone seen a curved line like this on an LCD screen?

Well, the second one has a line resembling the first one, but it looked shorter and was more horizontal. Along with 4K & HDMI troubles, apparently, I just sent it back and got the Ryzen stuff.

Boy, the stock sucked at the West Lebanon, New Hampshire Best Buy on December 31!
It was much better there on January 3, 2020, so I was able to pick up a Ryzen 3, an MSI B450 motherboard and DDR4 SDRAM!

My first DDR4 ATX tower system!

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
              by Kiberge
              HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
              by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
              by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
              by smic717394
              Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

LG OLED 55EG920V Black Screen with one line
              by fibcom999
Hi guys, I have aquired a LG 55EG920V for very small amout of money.

I have jumped the Power on, DRV_ON and 3,5v pins just for the screen to show a black screen with a green line offset to the left.

Connecting everything together, shuts the tv off automaticlly after a couple of second( LG protection?)

Tried with a spare MB and the original, both the same results.

But if i unplug the 12v rail to the tcon or the larger LVDS to tcon, the tv turns back to the one line and dosent shut off.

Could this be a tcon issue or something...
