    Samsung UE55JU6800kxxu Dark Screen Issues

Have a Samsung UE55JU6800kxxu that is darker on lower half of the screen, more noticible on solid black, or solid white images.

Quick google search showed reviews on these TVs, that were far from glowing lol.

Seems a common thing with them, my question is, am I looking as gradual Panel failure?? Or perhaps just dying backlight LEDs??

Ive attached some pics (including one of the TVs built in picture test thats the first pic of the seaside setting) and have tried to capture best I can, but as the problem isnt really terrible (yet lol) its quite hard.

Any input, advice, opinions greatly appreciated

Thats what I was thinking, just wanted a few opinions before I remove a billion screws and try not to break the screen removing it lol, doesnt matter how many I do, its ways a heart in mouth moment removing more than a 40" lol, never found cardboard so useful.

Any recommendations of the best place to purchase this LED type for both quality and reasonable pricing??

It's advised to replace all of the strips with new, the thought being all of the other LEDs are worn out, just not yet dead. I use Aliexpress for both new strips and individual LEDs.

Yeah I was going to replace them all m8 whilst I was on, as Im keeping this TV to go in one of the bedrooms, so want quality LEDs too with keeping it, I only gave £40 inc. delivery for the TV so dont mind putting a few quid into it.

Id be looking at buying individuals as thats what I usually do, although if the strips could be bought as cheap would just buy them complete.

Any idea whats the correct LED for this model so I can order them up before I strip it down?

Pulled it apart this morning, only top half was illuminating.
Tapped on the strips at the joins, and on they all came. Hot glue gun to the rescue, TV is now resembled and fully working.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to reply and advise. Much appreciated

I would put in jumper wires just as shown on the video.

                        by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
                        Please help. Thanks in advance!

                        HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

M1 A2338 screen and touchbar issues after cleaning up liquid damage
                        by jkruns
                        Hello everyone,

This is my first post after browsing this wonderful treasure trove of knowledge for many, many evenings. I've decided to learn how to fix these things, properly.

My patient is an A2338 Macbook Pro M1 (late 2020).

It had some corrosion around JT710 and JT700 caused by liquid spill, as well as against the protective barrier around the USB-C chips UF000 and UF100. So I took the main board out and cleaned it with a toothbrush and alcohol, then with alcohol in an ultrasonic cleaner. Cleaned the touchbar flex connectors as well. The board looks...
