Can you post sharp clear photo's of your circuit boards and give board numbers which would be helpful.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Pictures are too blur for me to read anything on the board.
We need hi-res straight shot of the whole top and bottom side of that power supply board.

Can you give the names as shown in the red box and the voltage you read at the corresponding connector pin. Picture still too blurred to read the print.

Check R8101, it is a 0.1Ω fuseable resistor that feeds the led power supply section on the power supply, If the resistor is open, check Q8101 & Q8102 fet's

First learn how to use your mutimeter and what the ranges and readings mean. The value of resistors is in OHMS not BEEPS. So what is the RESISTANCE in OHMS of the resistor. Use the lowest range for this resistor

If it the meter beeps checking the resistor, the likely resistance is between 0 and 150Ω 0~.1Ω=good, anything above a few ohms and it is likely open

If that is the value across R8101, then yes it is ok and not open.

Check if you are getting any secondary voltage across either C8116 or C8117. Check for this voltage when the tv is first turned on, if there is a fault with the backlights this voltage will likely come up and then drop off.

                                Philips TV Backlight Repair
                                by chestercc
So i'm trying to replace the LED's in a Philips TV. It's 42" with a 715g7262-p01-000-0010 backlight driver board based around an O2 Micro OZ9902CGN.

My issue is when I replace all the LED's on one board with the new 3V 300ma ones they immediately burn out when the set is powered again. I previously tried the same thing with 6V LED's and the backlight flickered for a bit but wouldn't start.

The original LED's which I removed which are still working start to melt and burn when given more than 3V on DCPS so I know they shouldn't be higher voltage ones.

                                ...

Trying to control Philips backlight manually with PWM — brightness increases with frequency...?
                                by ohren
I raised the question of whether PWM on the power board "dim" pin would be a reasonable assumption for controlling the backlight of a Philips TV (55put6101/12): https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...d-tv-backlight. I didn't receive any insights there so I went ahead and tried it.

                                The setup is basically:

                                Rpi3 hardware PWM → 220 Ohm → NPN transistor → dim pin

Transistor is switching the 3.5 V supply on the power board....

Philips 55PUS6804/12 turn on & off (probably backlight issue)
                                by ovrax
                                Hello everyone,

First of all, please excuse me as I'm quite new to this field.

I have a Philips 55PUS6804/12 TV. It turns on and off instantly (backlight flash). I personally think it's a backlight issue (faulty LEDs). Could you help me confirm my diagnosis?

I've checked and the T-CON seems to be fine. I disconnected one ribbon cable at a time at the bottom, but the problem persists.
The Ambilight works perfectly and stays on.

                                No sounds.

                                Thanks in advance.

philips 55pft5500/12 Backlight issue. What am I doing wrong?

TV philips 55'' no backlight (image ok).
I tested the backlight with my led tester from the unplugged connector cable and it lights up. I had voltages at the motherboard connector, but anyway I order a new psu. Same problem, same voltages. Disassembled the TV and checked every strip with my led tester, they all light up, same voltage for every pair of strip (they go two by two).
                                What am I missing?

And something else I don't understand. I checked and I have 3v Leds, 10 per strips. Why every pair of strip (so 20 Led) take about 32v when powered up with my led tester 🤔
