MSI MS-15831 Ver 1.0 Not starting up
I'm trying to get an MS-15831 Ver 1 motherboard fixed. Input voltage is present at 19V, there is 3.3v on the Power button which drops to 0v when power button pressed but laptop doesn't start up. The 3.3V and 5V rails pulse on when the power button is pressed but pretty much nothing else. It does not appear to draw any current when the battery is attached either - Just getting a pulse of 330ma current draw when the power button is pressed which then drops off within a second. I can find no schematic or anything for this laptop so was hoping someone might have some idea on where to check next?

Philips TV Backlight Repair
So i'm trying to replace the LED's in a Philips TV. It's 42" with a 715g7262-p01-000-0010 backlight driver board based around an O2 Micro OZ9902CGN.
My issue is when I replace all the LED's on one board with the new 3V 300ma ones they immediately burn out when the set is powered again. I previously tried the same thing with 6V LED's and the backlight flickered for a bit but wouldn't start.
The original LED's which I removed which are still working start to melt and burn when given more than 3V on DCPS so I know they shouldn't be higher voltage ones.

Re: Alienware M18x Shorted CPU Mosfet
I'm getting a reading of 9ohms to ground on the CPU rail which had the shorted mosfet. Dead CPU?

Alienware M18x Shorted CPU Mosfet
I've got an old Alienware M18x R1 which shorted out the charger whenever it was connected. Tracked down the short to two shorted caps and burned CPU power controller caused by a shorted mosfet on the CPU's graphic power supply.
I've replaced the faulty mosfet, two shorted caps and the CPU Power controller (NCP6151S52MNR2G).
Issue is now whilst there is no short if I attempt to power the system on the fans spin for a couple seconds there are no lights and no further action - the PCH is heating up but there is no CPU power coming out but there is an enable signal...

Re: Need bios dump for Elitebook 850 G3
Can someone unlock this 850 G3 bios dump - i've tried the hp unlocker which produces an unlocked file but the power on password is still there after reflashing and refitting the chip....

Re: Dell AW 13 R3 with cpu failure blink code
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but most of the time if any kind of CPU mosfet burns out it sends charger or system voltage directly to the CPU and the CPU is finished dead burned out. This is the case on any laptop not just Dell ones - there is 0 protection if those mosfets go open circuit and send the charger voltage straight through.

Re: PS4 Unable to access system storage
as an update to this - I found the problem eventually - there was a missing 0Ohm resistor near the SPI chip for the SATA controller. Once replaced it's now working normally!

PS4 Unable to access system storage
I don't know if anyone can help with this problem but i've got a PS4 here which had a damaged HDMI port. I've replaced the HDMI port and i'm getting picture now no problem but it keeps giving me an error about being unable to access system storage. I've checked the hard drive port which all seems fine - i've even gone as far as fluxing up and reflowing the hard drive controller and the hard drive port. I then tried a brand new hard drive and attempted to reinstall the software but it wouldn't even take me to the reload software screen and just goes straight to the unable to access system storage...
