    3.4mm X 950mm CCFLs for AUO Panels

Hi. I have twenty-five (25) new (and used) cold-cathode fluorescent tubes for 42" AUO LCD television panels. Lamps are 3.4mm (.130 in) in diameter, and 950mm (37.4 in) long. No modifications necessary for these AUO panels. These are from a Sanyo DP-42848 television that had the classic 'two seconds to black' condition. I got this one repaired, only to learn that it had a bad LCD panel. I state 'new and used' as I purchased 18 new ones from China, but there were a few that were broken in transit, so I had to use a few of my used ones. I no longer know which are new and which are used. All are good, tested lamps. Anyone interested can have them if they are willing to pay shipping via FedEx Ground (4 pounds form 81007).

    Sell or Shim Solar panels?
    by eccerr0r
Well, due to my grid tie inverter not accepting high voltages, and the fact that the lions in my solar panels are 36V (72-cell) I think I need to stick with 72-cell.

However I have a few smaller panels that are 36, 32, and two 30-cell. The 36 and 32 together run at 75% efficiency (and subtract more with additional inefficiencies) when running in parallel with the 72-cell panels. The kicker is that the two 30s... generate 0% power when connected in parallel(!)

So now what to do with these small panels?

    I could sell them...

    Or I could shim them....

Intel PC hooked to X90L television picture cut-off
    by Jackching
I have my Intel PC hooked to my Sony X90L television and each time the power is cycled on the tv, the bottom of the PC screen gets cut-off. Only half of the taskbar shows until i go into display settings and cycle the display size and it'll work fine until the next time I power off the tv. I updated the drivers. The graphics is UHD 630.

    Philips model 46pfl3706/f7 television

    Hi,

I am attempting to repair my television. When I turn it on, it seems to start normally and then the backlight turns off after a couple seconds.

Initially on the main power board I replaced diode D1202 which was shorted, and capacitor C1201 which was bulging. I was still getting some wonky voltages, so also replaced C1204, C1250 on the main board, as well as the filter caps on the LCD module, which were 3 680uf caps in parallel, which I replaced with 2 1000uf caps in parallel.

The tv is still showing the same symptoms, although now...

    Psuedo-4K LCD panels
    by japlytic
I have come across (and was burned by at least one) so called "4K" (claiming 3840 * 2160) LCD panels which have an actual resolution of Full HD (1920 * 1080) meaning that every second pixel in either direction is skipped.
For panels 19 inches (used in notebooks and tablets) and smaller with an Embedded DisplayPort (eDP) interface, do you know of any "4K" panels fitting into this category which do not have actual 4K resolution and the ones which have actual 4K resolution?

    1986 Fisher television B+ Low
    by drunkendwarf
    Hi guys, i have a 1986 Fisher PC420 television. Chassis #A7R-42000

it works but has no picture width and some barrel distortion. i narrowed it down to low B+ 89volts. service manual says it should be 111volts.

it uses these Sanyo hybrid IC chips for error detection and drive that are discontinued and i cannot find anywhere. i found one post regarding a Sanyo TV with same symptoms and the resolution was the error detect module.

    Part # JU0161 and JU0148

i'm now looking at bypassing that error detect to the optocoupler circuit somehow...
