Re: samsung un55f6300af no power
Check CNM803 pins, I suspect you have A5V (standby) but what are the voltages on PS_ON, BL_ON & P_DIM, do these voltages change if the power button is pressed?
If you disconnect the plug from the main board to the power supply, do you get B5V or B13V, there is a pullup resistor for the PS_ON so the power supply should turn on, but the pullup resistors for BL_ON and P_DIM go to the B5V.Last edited by R_J; 06-24-2019, 08:03 PM. -
Re: samsung un55f6300af no power
The ps on is 3.3 when power led is solid but goes to .25vdc when power led flashing. No effect on any voltages while pressing power button.Only other voltage present 5.3vdc on pin 12.power led cycles solid for short time with 3.3 on ps on then flashes with .025vdc present.Comment

Re: samsung un55f6300af no power
It does seem like the PS_ON command is coming from the main board, thats good.
There is a white capacitor (CM811S) near TM801s transformer, if you have a cap checker, check this cap, if not have a close look at it and see if it is bulged,it the sides should be nice and flat.
I suspect the fault might be with ICM801CS

Re: samsung un55f6300af no power
Have a look at the solder side of the power supply and check the solder connections on TM801CS transformer, they are likely ok but worth checking. the next voltage I would check is the VCC for ICM801CS. Using HOT ground (- of cp807s) check the voltage on JP812 or JP805. I suspect the voltage is there because the pfc circuit is workingLast edited by R_J; 06-24-2019, 09:36 PM.Comment

Re: samsung un55f6300af no power
Don't think its faulty lamps as i tested with lamp tester each circuit from the cable on back and got very close readings.Comment

There were no loose connections i could see.I had board under microscope so joints looked good.I replaced that regulator ICM801cs and she powered up perfectly.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by GLISITHi all,
TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!
I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!
A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about... -

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help I might get here
My Samsung TV is about 4 years old. The exact model number is UE75MU7009TXZG.
About half a year ago I started seeing occasional green frames pop up while watching movies. I mean literally green frames. Not the image turning green, but the entire screen turning green for a split second. This happened maybe once or twice during a 2 hour movie. So no big deal, but clearly something was not quite right.
Since a few days, the TV won't turn... -
by Journey11Hi All,
First time posting here ... my name is Kevin but my friends call me Journey.
I have a Samsung 75" LCD model UN75RU8000FXZA that I don't remember the original fault other than it wouldn't power up anymore.
After it sat for many month's I decide to look at it again. The motherboard seemed to have power regulation issues. After much fussing I decided to just get a new MB.
It came a few days ago and I installed it now just cycles the power relay on and off ... when on the backlights light up and then dim and then relay kicks off and the whole things starts again.... - Loading...
