Troubleshooting Philips 55 LED TV(horizontal lines and discolouring)

The TV is a Philips 55pfl5527t/12 where i issue is horisontal lines with weird colours. I've tries to factory reset, hard reset and software update. Did also clean the ribbons connected to the TCON unit. Should i just change the hole TCON?

    Looks like panel failure.

I would say that it does look like a panel failure EXCEPT that the horizontal lines do not run entirely across the screen. This MAY be just a TCON failure and I would say that you might be able to save this unit with a new TCON. There is also the possibility of problems with the panel PCBs that the TCON connects to (shorted component, bad cap, etc). To access the panel PCBs, you have to remove the panel bezel.

Agree good plan of action, it may be a candidate for a tab bond shim if it's a tab bond problem, i.e. if tcon isn't at fault.

No way, it's a bad gate driver's problem, so bad panel.

              Philips 55PUS7303 LCD lines
              by rtstorm
Hello, I have this 55" Philips TV that suddenly has these vertical lines on the LCD panel. I have checked the T-con board and I noticed some caps have 40Ohm I don't know if this is normal. These caps have 1.2V on them. I mark them on the photo with a silver pen. The T-con board has 1.2V, 12V, 25V, etc. Does anyone have any idea what could it be?
i try to disconect one ribon cable and the problem is the same, one side is white other side have the lines (the same is in other way)

              T-con model: 55T32-C0L
              Main Board: 715G8579-M0F-B01-005T

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
              by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
              • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
              • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
              by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

hi all and hoping i could get some help please.

my philips 58PUS8105/12 has started acting weird.
its getting these lines across it and sometimes a strange black half circle sometimes appears on the right hand side edge of the screen, the screen is cool to the touch all the way around except where you get to that black halfcircle about the size of a smartie right on the bezel edge of the screen, its quite hot.
tv prob 3 years old and only used on weekends for a few hours so not done much.

i popped the back off and cleaned the ribbon contacts all to no...

              Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
              by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...
