I have a UN65F6350AF that was given to me with a weird backlight issue. the voltage is ramping and my power supply died so I can't test the LED's at the moment.. picture is fine, so its a backlight issue.. Im hoping its not dead LEDS because the frame is one big sticker on this one for the light surround stuff.. any help would rock.. once I fix this one i have a 8000 series with vertical lines and a dead power supply that hopefully is fixable..

Re: dim backlight and flicker
You have 3 LED stings and if you look at the Voltage chart, you will see the Voltage rating printed on the board.
Power supply board: Leave the meter probes on C9102 legs then turn on teh TV and see how high the Voltage jumps up to and then wait 10 seconds to see how low it goes down to the turn off the TV and repeat the same test on C9202, C9302. Report the results.Never stop learning

Re: dim backlight and flicker
9102 is going from 320-360 jumping all over 9202 is doing the same, and 9302 is solid 195vComment

Re: dim backlight and flicker
So how much is the C9202 showing?
Next, disconnect the LED connector and do the same test again.
So far it looks like you have two bad LED strings.Never stop learning

Re: dim backlight and flicker
I expect the Voltage to jump up high with no load, so at this point you do have Bad LED/or bad connection in the LED strings.Never stop learning

Re: dim backlight and flicker
Something like need to you need to use LED tester so you can test each LED strip first to narrow down as to which strips are not working, right now you only have one working LED string that is why you see bright section in the middle of the screen in your post 1 picture.
Also look really close at the LED LENS to see if any of show brown tint due to LED over heated.Last edited by budm; 12-04-2018, 10:49 PM.Never stop learning

by triplefourthis tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even... -
by hollox123Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:
1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work
The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.
I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.
But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,... -
by snowphishI have a pair of DJI FPV Goggles v2 that the backlight on one side LCD screen does not light up. Obviously I have tried already to switch screens and ribbon connectors, it's not that. I've inspected things under a microscope and can't see anything wrong with the connector or otherwise.
This is the pinout of the LCD - and I am reading about 35v on LED anode on one side and lower 30V on the non-working side, but this is without the LCDs connected.
Now there's no information on these boards, it's using a proprietary CPU - I've been trying to pinpoint where the backlight...04-30-2024, 10:43 AM -
by signal.questI have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...2 Photos

Hi all,
I have my Lenovo ThinkPad P51 20HH laptop with a dead backlight.
It's a Xeon E3-1505M v6
The picture is visible on the panel with the help of a flashlight. So it's looking like the backlight is dead i guess...?
I've tested the one fuse next to the 40-pin on the MB that i can find, and that hasn't blown, it has continuity... So i'm wondering where else it has fuses? Or what else it could be?
I sadly didn't get photos when I've had it opened. And it's busy processing photogrammetry stuff at the moment. As it's otherwise... - Loading...
