I have a pair of DJI FPV Goggles v2 that the backlight on one side LCD screen does not light up. Obviously I have tried already to switch screens and ribbon connectors, it's not that. I've inspected things under a microscope and can't see anything wrong with the connector or otherwise.
This is the pinout of the LCD - and I am reading about 35v on LED anode on one side and lower 30V on the non-working side, but this is without the LCDs connected.
Now there's no information on these boards, it's using a proprietary CPU - I've been trying to pinpoint where the backlight power comes from and I think I found it here in these 2 circuits, one for each LCD
The qfn IC is marked 1N=7L ... this seems to be a Richtek marking scheme, but looking through all the references I could find I was not able to determine what chip it is. Maybe something like this one but ... maybe not... I will try to see if the pinouts make sense
Anyone has leads on how I should approach this?
I'm thinking I will swap the ICs - so if the problem switches sides, at least I know I'm dealing with a dead IC - and I guess I probably won't be able to find a replacement unless I find other donor goggles.
