Samsung TV Flickering on start up

Hi all. I am 'the new guy' to this site. I stumble across this site awhile back while looking for some information on an Samsung TV. Really enjoyed reading everyone's input; which helped me repair that TV.

Now, I have a Samsung TV model- LN32D403E4DXZA version SP01 that had a bad power board among other issues. Power board's circuit from the main cap to the back light inverter blew and the board was damaged beyond repair. I got a replacement board (BN44-00438a) that failed while still testing the TV. I used the attached schematics (2 different schematic for this board. The board is a mix of both of them) to determine that the transistor located at QM854 was bad. After replacing it, the power board worked again.

Now, when the TV starts up, the back light flashes for about 20 seconds then stays on steady. The center 'weak or no signal' (I have no input attached) is somewhat bright, but dims in stages over the next 30 seconds. I reset the TV and updated the software, but this flickering and dimming still occurs. I don't have the ECO setting on. I am guessing it is the main board, but the high FET reading on my power board is lower than I think it should be.

I have searched your forums for information on this TV but came up short. I would love anyone's input on what the problem could be. If you know which component on the board might be an issue, please tell me that too.

Thanks in advanced for all your help!

We all love readings so here is what I have:

    Pin 6 - BLU_ON - 104-107mV Don't look good too low.

Would you happen to know what the voltage of Pin 6 should be?

You're checking with tv plugged in power button off which is standby, then you hit power button and get that reading too, they can vary but usually you need 2.5+volts which comes from the mainboard, which turns backlights on, at 107 mv seems too low to turn m on.

I would unplug powersupply from mainboard and do the jump with resistor to see if that voltage comes up, on this one I think you need to jump ps on with 5 volt standby and blu-on, better double check with one of the pros tho, to be sure.

Thank you for all the information. I re checked Pin 6 (Blu_on) and got 5.1V. My mistake.

On CN 1801, Pin 1 (High Fet) should it be higher than 185V?

I think it says high 280 on your board map/legend, seems low?

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                  by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

                  Samsung Power Supply Board BN44-00874F
                  by Nicktronic
                  Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

                  Anybody...

Samsung UN65KU6290F PS board blows fuses
                  by valvashon
Samsung UN65KU6290F (May 2017); received from local Buy Nothing group. Was listed as "just went dead" and they wanted it gone. I brought it home, didn't notice anything visually wrong with the power supply board, looked up the cost of a new one and that's about as far as it went. Family was tired of tripping on the foot of the set so I decided to dig in and repair or toss.

Can't believe that I didn't check it earlier but I found the main 8 amp fuse blown. Jumped across it with a 10 amp blade style fuse and you can see that it literally exploded inside the second I plugged...

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                  by Asraf Atb
                  Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....
